Would be quite happy to get Gavet and BLawrence in. But Green really has to go so can only get one of them, how will Matulinos injury/suspension affect Gavets minutes or do you bring him in and be happy with 40 minutes

BLaw is first game back and has a big score of 42 but his BE is quite high already because of his last games, last year. Plus there are more forwards to come back from Manly.
Gavet was named in a full strength warriors outfit and now BM is out for a few weeks at least, so his minutes should only improve (at worst, won't change) is banging out decent scores and should continue to rise in $$$

I very, very nearly had Gordon and not Teddy with the update going to J Reynolds in the halves. One of those things I'm glad I stuck with.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
I could bring in Gavet and BLawrence, but unless either of them gets DPP at Centre this week, I have to take care of my centre position like LB. I don't really want to bandaid my Centre position every second week, so I'm looking to bring in something more long term as Welshy suggested. Its interesting that this is so contentious when people are talking so much about Teddy, doesn't the same rules re cash cows are easier apply to WFB? I think its more to do with the lack of decent options there in peoples opinions, I'm sure if Teddy was available at centre it wouldn't seem as silly

Damn you Honeysett. If I bring him in I have to chose Out of him Grant and Evans to partner Woods and the other as a reserve perhaps. Tough decision, although the extra 50k is tempting

Lack of solid options I think is the point. I'm bringing in Scott and hoping. Also Green will be worth 128k soon and that's money id rather keep atm so has to go

Gavet one my first (not only) mistake of the year, I wanted to get him in late but forgot to change him for Leuluai.
His BE is -1
Blaw is 13 so they're both going to make money - I just went with the cheaper option.

Brenton Lawrence is a far better pick than Gavet. Gavet's minutes will not improve with Ben Matulino out. Faitala-Mariner has been left out for another middle forward. Back row for warriors will all play 80 now and Luke might even spend time in the middle tackling. So between Lillyman, Vete, Gubb and Gavet they will all play between 35-45 minutes. Yes he is averaging 33 but say his true average is 30 he probably has approximately 100k left to make before origin.
You are no worse off picking C Scott for $30k less and hoping for an average of 26 and gaining $100K.

Well atm I've picked up both Gavet and Scott so 200k would be nice

I will spend the next day or so debating whether it's more prudent for me to grab Gavet for Welch who admittedly was an awful choice and Scott for Green, 2 potentially decent cows for actual dog shite or.....turn what look like 2 middies in Gordon and LAM into a GUN Taupau/Graham and a cashie Scott

I'll join ya in that debate. LAM is a hard one for me, feels the same with Grant and Evans, that neither is gonna hit the 40s in a game unless they score a try.

I'd lock in graham. I have myself. Only he and friend have scored over 60 both rounds. Only two rounds in but nice to bank some consistency.Welshy wrote:I will spend the next day or so debating whether it's more prudent for me to grab Gavet for Welch who admittedly was an awful choice and Scott for Green, 2 potentially decent cows for actual dog shite or.....turn what look like 2 middies in Gordon and LAM into a GUN Taupau/Graham and a cashie Scott
Saying that though I'm letting Gordon and LAM have another run around.
I'm also hanging onto Green for now. He's a fucking ugly kent. Poor ranga kent just needs to get some confidence.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
If I was to go the Gun/Cashie route this week I have two options:
Green > Scott
LAM > Taupau/Graham leaving 100k at the least
Or
LAM > Gavet
Green > Tedesco leaving 37k
Thoughts? Or just stick with fixing cows for now?
Green > Scott
LAM > Taupau/Graham leaving 100k at the least
Or
LAM > Gavet
Green > Tedesco leaving 37k

Great post Welshy, for me I am looking at Evans and LAM out and have a plethora of options. To me, I had midrange forwards at start of the year in JTrobjevic, Evans and LAM hoping for 40-50 points. Only Trobjevic has worked and so I'm getting rid of the other two, haven't pushed to keeper status and ain't making serious money. Options are
1 Graham and Scott for LAM and Evans
2 or BLaw and Scott for LAM and JFH, then trading Evans up next week to Mau and forgetting about Graham.
Looking at your trade options I would do Welsh and LAM (provided you have LAM in front row or other DPP in front row) for Blaw and Gavet. Get Scott next week and give Gordon another crack. Eels have played the top two defensive sides in the comp.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
only worry with Graham is inflated minutes due to injuries also a fairly risky injury history, Taupau has a risk with minutes as well but I think Taupau averages more over the season if he keeps playing 60-80 minutes which is a real possibility...grabbing the cashies allows me another round to assess the Graham/Taupau minutes whilst also getting rid of failures but will come at a cost of paying a higher premium for the guns later...Pain wrote:

Kane Evans out, James Gavet in. Yay or nay? Sideways trade perhaps but frees up cash

hope this V Leuluai clown get lost in the national park on the way up to training in Wyong. Actually, I hope he gets busted for dogging in there with Jaelen Feeney and they both get life

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
I grabbed JTurbo last week happy with that decision as Leulai is now injured and looked a poor cashie due to limited minutes....I think the reasoning is sound for trading LAM to a cashie who has the potential to match his scores whilst giving you $100,000 in the kitty and potential to make he same amount....think Mau is a massive risk as he has finished both seasons averaging low 40s. What about Tolman has a huge BE and if you did the second trade you should have the cash to go Evans - Tolman next week and hen he loses more cash if you are forgetting Graham? dont think I will get both BLaw and Gavet mate, will likely choose one and miss the other because I will use Ah Mau as a stepping stone to a gun next week if Gordon doesn't perform, I will likely use Mitchell over Gordon as a starting WFB regardless this round if Gordon staysWarriors wrote:

Ah didnt realise
I don't support or hope for injuries (just national park dogging bans) so I won't say "good"... But 1 less muppet to worry about. Cheers
