Don't see the problem with having Aubbs in your centres. If someone said here is a guy that will score 30 plus in your centres without scoring a try week in and week out id be happy as larry lol

Aside from the fact that he is never going in my team again, I wouldn't consider him a keeper there. I guess with that same line of thinking I should rule out Brown given he is likely to suffer when buhrer returns?

Oh I wasn't trying to swing your decision at all. Just the reasons I started with him, curse aside lol. I'm too new to know about the black widow lol

8 weeks of 30-50 in a horrendous CTR position mate, show me someone in his price range who has that range without scoring a try...Brown yes but played 60 last week so minutes will be a worry going forwardArcher wrote:I guess if I ask a crazy question I should expect crazy answers

I'm in a very vulnerable state right now Welshy, you shouldn't be making these suggestions. Maubs once burnt me twice in the same season. Going back to him feels like I'm asking the gods to smite me.

Archer wrote:Is there a keeper CTR worth picking up for 367K (or Ideally less than 340K)? I need to bring in a CTR this week or I'll be stuck with Green's score and given that's likely to be single digit, I don't think I can live with that for even a week with how far behind I am already.
Thinking of Trading out LAM (Or I guess Rochow, though I prefer how he has been going) and using it to bring in a CTR rather than trying to get another stop gap measure with someone like Scott. If I do it though I kind of want a set and forget so I don't have to worry about this shithouse position again for a while (barring any bullshit KOD).
Trading out the 2nd rower means I can shift Green there for now and piss him off another week and with the way LAM has been scoring I think I can cover him with my other forwards (currently have 1 of Rochow, Carter or Evans who sit outside my 17). I think whilst taking the bigger hit financially this makes more sense points wise. I just can't figure out who...
Brown would have been the go to had he got the same minutes as Rd1, but Rd2 shows a different story (who took those minutes from him btw, was it that fuck Green?) Naqaima is a risky option as is Hoppa, don't even mention Maubs. Gaigai could be an idea but I'm not sure I'm comfortable bringing in any knights backs....
Fuck I hate the CTR position.
Looking for the same thing. Croker for 2k more (Raiders have a reasonable draw coming up and play the first bye round). Gagai if he gets the FB gig. Lyon if you think the Sea Eagles bounce back (or he gets moved to 5/8th). Walker if you think the Sea Eagles bounce back (and he gets moved to centre). Dugan back at FB (but his injury record). I am interested in Brown too, but he really needs to play 80 mins. Hurrell if he gets named? Otherwise someone like Lafai or CLawrence who hopefully won't let you down.
I agree with your thinking though. The less trades wasted at CTR the better.

True mate. Apologies I have been burnt many times as well and his low end scores are him trying to tempt me into dumping him, but I'm holding strong and taking on the black widow head on.....the number one rule in fantasy I think is balancing the number 2 rule in fantasy in my side hahaArcher wrote:I'm in a very vulnerable state right now Welshy, you shouldn't be making these suggestions. Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Cheers for your thoughts mate, much the same as what I'm currently juggling between in my head. It's a real gamble as to which horse I back but if I pick the right one it feels like it will be worth it. Was almost convinced on Hoppa but as I hadn't watched the games I decided to check out the highlights and see how involved he was, was pretty sad to pretty much never see him near the ball backing up, except for the one time he scored. Could have been a decent option if I could trust him to benefit off the dogs offloads (and Mbye half breaks etc).jelejasof wrote:

I admire your courage Welshy, just don't look him in the eyes... or if you do, don't break contact first/Welshy wrote:

I would pick Goodwin and ride him for three weeks and get off before his price plummets and Reynolds comes back and takes the goal kicking. He is actually been in great form so could continue scoring high.

if he can get to origin avg 40+ I might even consider shaking his hand and saying Aubbs mate, nice one I will drop you down the fantasy rule list to no.3Archer wrote:

How about Hymel Hunt in the centre? Cheaper than what you're discussing.

All of this centre talk is making me second guess. Just gonna stick to what I've chosen for better or for worse.... Until I change my mind

CTR is generally the last position people look to lock in guns, if you are doing so this early the rest of your team must be sweet as.

agree mate but think some guys CTR position is that bad that they want a gun in now to at least set and forget about 1 tough positionBren wrote:CTR is generally the last position people look to lock in guns, if you are doing so this early the rest of your team must be sweet as.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Ctr and wfb rookies/ cash cows come along regularly, frf and srf rookies / cash cows are are lot harder to find.
In real life a coach will pick a promising rookie on the wing and he will play 80.
If the rookie is picked in the forwards expect 20 minutes and crap scores
What I am trying to say is..... Gavet and b Lawrence need to be gotten now rather then getting in c Scott or holland, other wfb and Ctr rookies will emerge later in the season whereas there is not heaps of scope for frf and srf cash cows emerging.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Surely those that didn't start with Tedesco knew he was capable of going on a run like this and aren't trading him in on the back of 5 tries in 2 weeks
