The main thing that going Isaako over Edwards would allow me to do is trade Ford to Bateman, whereas right now I can't afford it.
On the other hand, that doesn't get me any more depth this week as I have three on the bye (Hoppy Russell Fainu), and can still only cop one Origin rest (likely Walsh) and field 17.

I'm not convinced with Meaney, he has been good this year but he just doesn't pass the eye test for fantasy purposes. He isn't as involved in the attack as someone like Edwards (in terms of getting TA/LBAs), nor is he usually on the end of the attack like Isaako is.

TLDR: I think Meaney is the McCullough of fullbacks, never bad enough to be a sell but never good enough to be a genuine keeper.

Good call on Meaney im not super convinced either.

I have decided to go Edwards and just get Fainu for Granville early so I can still go Bateman or Tohu.

Can you do that or do you already have Fainu?

I already have Fainu and my other trade this week is Ikat to Liddle (alongside Bird to Edwards)

Am I stupid for considering Okunbor?  Turns out I have exactly the cash to go Bird, Cheese and IKatoa to Hynes, Turpin and Okunbor

    Gives me,at full strength:

    Grant
    Haas JDB Horse
    Hopgood Preston
    Cleary Hynes
    Manu Nully
    Teddy Ponga AJ

    SJ Cook Ford Luki
    Edwards Okunbor Turpin VTW

    ---

Means this week I can play Manu at centre for Bird and Okunbor at WFB

Really hope this is a form thing for Teddy though, its never fun to watch champions struggle.

Other than last week, he is looking more like final season Brett Stewart than prime Teddy this season.

I guess its then Edwards + Turpin v Isaako + Liddle.

I personally prefer having the high end keeper.

In fact I have gone Turpin and Edwards as my first 2 trades.

    Who takes Gilbert’s spot?
Hopgood would have to be in the mix.

They need an EDG, not yet another lock (in addition to Carrigan, Cotter and Tino).

Isn't Gilbert a lock? But being used on the edge for QLD?

I was surprised that Arrow didnt go to edge when Gilbert got injured. Seemed like the obvious move.

Welch was 18th so him coming onto the bench and Arrow starting edge might be the ~least disruptive~ ~next man up~ thing to do

Maybe they liked Cotter there and use him there a bit in game 2

    Hybrid role TM

He is definitely more of EDG than Hopgood as would start on EDG for Cowboys and move to middle. Similar to Arrow

Has at least started at EDG most of last season, Hopgood has never started at EDG in first grade, definitely not in consideration for that role.

Suspended until R17. Origin is after R16, so assume he can play?

    Capewell is another option.

Was his suspension 3 games or 4 games?

If it's 3 then he can play (missing 13/14/15)

If it's 4 then he can't (missing 13/14/15/17 because of the Phins bye in 16)
