    On a fantasy note, Bird + Ford > iPap + JFH leaves me with 0k in the bank. I was planning to keep Ford through to 19 but this might be a sign.

    On fantasy talk, currently looking at Host/Bird to Robson/IPap. Squad is pretty stacked then

    Cook
    Haas JDB Horse
    Fifita Loiero
    Cleary SJ
    Manu Lemmy
    Ted Drinky Bula

    IPap Robson Harris Hopgood
    Niko HEdwards Oloapu Ponga

    No back up CTR though

    Hopgood would have to be in the mix.

    Felise slots back or capewell, I reckon

    Billy won’t want to risk the outside back shuffle of not having capewell extra cover I reckon

    Really hope this is a form thing for Teddy though, its never fun to watch champions struggle.

    Teddys pants always fall down, he currently holds the all time NRL record for ingame dackings......but previously the dackings were because he could swivel his buttocks out of any tackle

    How about give him a chance to redeem himself, billy didn’t hook cotter for his massive error

    In fact he caught the tpj offliad that put us in good position

    Couldn’t agree with this more. Look at Collins. Dropped the ball on the first after the 40/20 and another dropped ball later. Then he ended up having the best moment in the whole game imagine if he was hooked before that

    Points for Isaako:

    * 116k cheaper
    * Kicks goals so there's an extra source of points
    * Has been consistently scoring tries and doesn't look like stopping.
    * Zero risk of getting selected for Origin

    Points for Edwards:

    * Better season average so far, more involved in attack than he has been in past years
    * Plays round 16 and has one less bye remaining than Isaako does (19 compared to Isaako's byes in 16 and 21)
    * Fullbacks generally do better than wingers
    * Next 4 matchups are very easy for him - Dragons Roosters Cowboys (minus Origin players) and Knights

    Not silly if you can use the cash elsewhere what about Meaney for similar reasons to Isaako excpet he is a FB

    The main thing that going Isaako over Edwards would allow me to do is trade Ford to Bateman, whereas right now I can't afford it.
    On the other hand, that doesn't get me any more depth this week as I have three on the bye (Hoppy Russell Fainu), and can still only cop one Origin rest (likely Walsh) and field 17.

    I'm not convinced with Meaney, he has been good this year but he just doesn't pass the eye test for fantasy purposes. He isn't as involved in the attack as someone like Edwards (in terms of getting TA/LBAs), nor is he usually on the end of the attack like Isaako is.

    TLDR: I think Meaney is the McCullough of fullbacks, never bad enough to be a sell but never good enough to be a genuine keeper.

    easytiger wrote:Speaking of Edwards, I was looking at WFB options earlier in the week and couldn't help but notice his stats this year;

    - 8 tackles for 1 missed (across 3 games - not having to do much defensive work, but a net positive isn't a bad thing for a FLB).

    - 1T, 1TA, 1LB from 3 games, all pretty low numbers that are slightly below his 2022 averages

    - 8.7 TB's per game - of all players who have played at least 2 games, only Miller (8.8 is averaging higher - comparitively 4.5 last year

    - 250 MG per game - always a stand out in this area, currently up from 218 last year.

    - OFH, KD pretty much on par with last year

    Fantasy average so far of 55.7 against 3 competitive teams in the Broncos, Rabbitohs and Eels

    It's probably just a little fantasy hot streak (he's done it before), but I'm interested to see if he develops into one of those random players that just went under the radar and suddenly somehow becomes an $800k WFB must-have. Can winning a Clive Churchill medal give you super powers?

    On Edwards, I posted the above in March.

    An update;
    - Average 55.9 (he's been surprisingly consistent)
    - MG dropped back to 221, so much in line with last year, but 8/11 have been 190+
    - Tackles and missed tackles both picked up
    - TB's dropped a little to a very-much still impressive 7.4 per game
    - Attacking stats picked up; 7 tries, 4 TA's, 8 LB's in 11 games.
    - He's gained $100k to be $742k and is the highest averaging WFB

    I didn't think it would happen, but it's funny that it seems that this is where we are...

    Bird + Nikorima + Boyd + ITT to Manu + Bateman + JFH + Liddle is so succulent. Still have Haas, but easy to go him + another to Hynes + Fainu in R16

    After looking at Turpins 2022 stats I’m now slightly worried. A mix of starting hooker and coming on from the bench for an average of 44 minutes and 27 points.

    It's true but I reckon we're better with Cook + koro and use murray/martin/young in the backs if required.

    Damien Cook's last 4 games against the Titans; 63, 62, 63, 63

    On a bit of a down year, so probable scores 61 this time around

    Brandy on 360 fairly reticent on details of changes. Only hint is saying you can’t fail your defensive assignments

    Agree, 14 feels like a dead spot. Best case Hynes comes on as an extra playmaker in a side that already had Cleary, Luai, Teddy and Turbo. Worst case he plays in the outside backs and gets beaten for the game winning try. The best players already cover multiple positions - Murray alone covers forwards and backs (he played the 2020 prelim final at centre) and Latrell/Turbo can go to FB or cover halves in a pinch. I'd much rather have a 2nd hooker in an origin situation

    Amen. You just can't have an 80 minute hooker in origin unless their name is Cameron Smith and some sort of freak of nature. Bunt + Grant 1-2 punch has decimated us in the past few years
