Perhaps we could go with Basil, for Klese
I was thinking like the herb? Basil Payne, the Irish poet after a google search
I always think of John Cleese. Maybe Lemur can get some traction

Klaas and Paas will really irritate some around here.
Only those with a lack of Klhaas.

Reassuming my position as the resident nickname Scrooge to humbly request that we immediately nope this idea into the sun of the next galaxy over.

So it shall be written, so it shall be done.
Milchy gets 10 new grey hairs every time a new name contraction comes along, especially the ones that serve no real purpose identifying one player from another.

As a Jack Cogger owner for 3 weeks now I am going to refer to him as JOgger, to differentiate between the other 7 Cogger's playing in the NRL at the moment...

As for my contribution, this is not a Adam & Cameron situation, there is not, nor am I expecting there to be any other player named Klese or Payne for as long as they have careers and some time after, we could just use their names which are already as short or shorter than anything suggested so far

I'm calling the Haas from the Gold Coast Jai and the Haas from Brisbane Tyson to give their names a regional flavour. It just makes things simpler.

30 point plodder would be great. Not many people sub $300k who can do that other than as temporary injury cover.
I'm more concerned about his ability to stay in first grade than anything else. He'll be 20th or 21st man for the run home, so any points he can muster would be fab if I need to call on him.

Basil is as good a Bob Jane for nicknames that will be meaningless to everyone else 5 minutes after they are formed

Since the talk is stupid names can I nominate the Wahs. I don’t know where it came from and I don’t care it is absolutely 100% trash.

I figure it's them half pulling the piss out of themselves for always complaining about the Refs.

Whenever I see Wahs, my first thought is the Waratahs. Confused me for a long time
