NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 66 - So I says to Patty, I says "F*** you C***"

My mate lives in NZ we have spoken 5 or 6 times on the phone before he’s driven 5 hours from Taranaki to Auckland for captains runs today and for the game tomrrow night he’s an international member as passionate as me, word out of Campbell mouth is he’s out at this stage didn’t train today. Tass not in the country missus baby is due waiting to hear more info if he can fly over last minute.

Kennar and Milne trained centres, Munro will debut right wing 18 years old young Indigenous kid has been good in Flegg and 3 Cup games so far, he’s faster than AJ obviously still as he’s young he’s quite skinny still not bulked up. Be interesting to see how he goes club thinks he has a big future.

Warriors will flog us though I think both centres looking like being out plus Trell and Arrow.

I’m hearing QLD are strongly considering playing Hammer at FB be interesting to see if it happens.

The plan was Tapine to Bateman but I forgot Bateman is not a Mid so I would have to play JFH this week and it seems a good chance Horse plays origin next week so Tapine could be nice to have then.

Sneaky tempted to do a Hopgood to Yeo trade but with Hopgood's ownership he could kill me next week and Paulo will be playing origin so his minutes should be good.

As things stand I'm going to have to sit out one of JDB, Tohu, Tapine or Hopgood next week.

Cross that bridge when you come to it, a lot can happen in a week

Plus injuries elsewhere could lead to a hopggod call up

Yep very true. 

Think having 2 trades to work with if needed next week is more beneficial than forcing a luxury one this week.

Have 8 trades going into this week

Plan to date has been Niko & Crossland out, Fifita and Simpkin in

Had a full complement of forwards for next round but Horse being out might leave me short a mid

Was overthinking it and thought 'maybe I bring AFB in for a couple of rounds and the swap him (or anyone who gets injured) to Fifita when he has his bye in 22'.

Could of course just go with the original plan, wait to see the SOO lineup and then draft in some dodgy mid next week.

I think with 8 trades, you can afford a few luxury ones like that. I'd do it.

Put it this way, with 8 (+8 ) trades left and only 10 rounds to go, you can average 1.6 trades per round from here without running out. There's gotta be room for a few luxury gun to gun trades in there somewhere I'd say.

I probably should have made a few more of these moves during the earlier byes but was trying out a 'conserve trades' strategy. Anyway should be able to move towards my finalish team pretty quickly after SOO.

Would start Simpkin and loop VTW as easy ones.

Metcalf and Stone could go either way but the uncertainty with the Dolphins lineup this week has me thinking loop Stone?
