Not League related... but how nuts is the obsession with people trying to get Taylor Swift tickets.
At my school, every class has multiple laptops open waiting for the chance to purchase tickets.
One girl (Yr.11) spent $4000 on 4 tickets (VIP).
Some parents have too much money.

Things are still pretty tight generally.

Just realised that with me in 1234th live rank, I am the same number of points away from 36th, as 36th is away from first.

I'm on Team Matt here, think I will be getting Cleary at the earliest opp

And while hamstrings have a decent reinjury rate, I think the fact they've taken 6 weeks rather than rushing him back after 4 bodes well.

    What’s your goal? Top 50,100,500,1000?
How many points is this out of curiosity, interested to see how this looks now you mention it

From DT sports confidential (think this is Buzz’s column)

    WHY BIRD MISSED DRAGONS’ SELECTION

Jack Bird was overlooked for selection for the Dragons clash against the Sharks on Thursday night. He has been battling an ongoing knee complaint prompting Bird to meet with specialists this week.

The good news for Bird is the injury is not expected to keep him sidelined long-term. He picked up a knock against the Warriors last week and has struggled with his own form.

For real though, it's windy and cold and the ball and surface will be slippery. Could be a big game for the boys in the middle.

When the weather is really really bad, I always think:

"Should leave the attacking players on the pine. But what if: It doesn't keep raining, more defenders slip off them, etc".

But from my memory, there has only been 1 occasion where ive seen attacking players do OK in the rain.

What's other views on whether you leave an SJ or CNK out. They are going to miss a lot and probably unlikely to be attacking too much. What's the extreme weather handicap worth? -20%, -40%, - 60%?

I’d like to see him play 6 in a good team, he has moments but dogs are catastrophic

He does get a lot of good press/wraps so he is definitely overrated by media

    Points from 36th -515
    36th points from 1st - 515

Will see how round 19 goes. If I can hold ground then (can field 12 if Horse and Hynes play), then 100th seems a stretch goal for the rest of the season.

Rank improvement has been consistent, with just 1 weekly rank drop since R6, which was the week Cleary scored 106 and while he was in my team, he wasn't my captain, but still only dropped 100ish ranks that week.

    R6 - 20,265
    R7 - 18,347
    R8 - 14.050
    R9 - 6,303
    R10 - 5,569
    R11 - 3.953
    R12 - 4,077
    R13 - 3,296
    R14 - 2,433
    R15 - 1.869
    R16 - 1,472
    R17 - 1,184

The only top tier guns that are better than others in their position, with a 60+ average that I am likely to finish the season without are Haas and Yeo.

Feel like I can compete though, as I am not sure anyone is finishing with Cleary, Hynes, Fifita, Grant, Haas, Yeo, JDB, Horse and 1 of SJ/DCE/Moses. If I am just missing 2 of that group, should be able to come storming home hopefully, and can trade sideways within that group in case of injury / suspension if needed.

Trades are probably worth more than both, it’s a shame you don’t have any. Waiting a week on Cleary is the smart play.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a good football player but he's definitely a sidekick rather than a leader.

I have $849k cash and 8 trades in R20. Can spend 2 upgrading Granville and Turpin to Cleary and Fifita and have 6 left for the rest of the season.

Most others will be spending 3-4 trades getting them in, and some may need to wait a week or 2 on Cleary. Feel like I am pretty well positioned for trades with 6 left and a stacked team in R20.

Fair enough, but wont the people in front of you all be bring in those players too
Even cash (I have 188k itb) can be overrated when you can trade a gutho type player sideways into grant.

Anyways would imagine most teams will have a core of similar players with probably depth being the difference depending on your team value
I can't say I have been paying attention much but I have noticed in here mentioned its hard to make ground up in the top 1000?
If anything a late charge will be from those with a heap of trades or luck?

Anyways good luck with your season, 1000pts seems huge when you put it like that but anything can happen from here
