Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 68 - Cooked
I had planned on holding on to Cook as backup to Grant. With this Haas news, I might just sell Cook now to cover Haas instead of selling him directly and allow one of the cheap hookers as backup to Grant

It's more the indefinite time line which is the concern. What if it flairs up again. At least JDB is reasonably certain to play this week. If he scores 70 this week and the week Haas has a bye, then Haas would be doing very well to match that with his few remaining games. Meanwhile, as long as Horse survives origin, he gets a breather in rd20 and is fresh for rd21.
Actually, thinking about it that way, I was looking at trading Horse and Cook, with the possibility of getting Horse back in, now I'm thinking about trading Haas and Cook with the possibility of getting Haas back in. Doesn't really change much for me. So it's not if I sell, but who I sell. Haas with the indefinite time line and the extra byes wins I think. I may or may not get back in but that's a future decision.

Don't have the Haas decision, but am picking between Horse, Cook and Robson to trade out this week to get 13 on the paddock. Assuming he gets through Origin, an extra number in Robson will be handy in Round 20, and Horse > Cook at the moment as a season keeper. So, looks like Cook it is.
On Haas, can't help but think sellers will regret not having him back and firing over the last 6-7 rounds of the season. I've made that mistake with Haas already this season and Fifita too. Holding him is the conservative play though, and the better fantasy players are the ones that take the (calculated) risks...

Haas misses R25 too. So from next week, someone like Yeo is going to be available for 8 (admittedly he might get a rest), JdB/Horse available for all 7 from R21, Hopgood 7 out of 8 too. Haas gets 6, assuming he's fit. Murray will get 6 like Haas, but is 200k cheaper.
Haas averages 65+, those guys except for Murray are 60+ when in their current roles this season. Murray is close and historically can get there.
Maybe selling is hasty (and also depends on # trades) but I think if something has to give to get other targets e.g. Cleary, Fifita than it makes sense to pass him by. It isn't Pokemon, can't catch them all

It probably depends on your team. A lot are talking about bringing guys in the next couple of weeks like

Rd19 numbers poll
Might be best to preface this question with - assuming SJ in/out?? Might make the answer more meaningful?

Tough week for relationships this one. Ashes/Nrl/TDF. Some good Aussie riders.

Seems like results might be a little skewed by people with trades/more players bothering to vote. I’d have thought nowhere near 40% will have 13.Milchcow wrote:

I think its already skewed by people voting before origin teams/this weeks team lists were out.

Bateman, Wakeham, T'oa, Kepoea?
Sharks:
Wilton, Moylan, Talakai, Mulitalo?
Nikora, Hynes, Ramien, Katoa?

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 68 - Cooked
As someone who has 1 mid short this week and next, who would be the best trade in option?
Currently have Tohu, JDB, Horse & NAS.
NAS & Horse out this week, Horse and JDB out next.
Looking at maybe Matto / RFM?

Matt just created a poll to not so humbly brag he has 13, a week before the team lists and during a round in which anything can happen.
Ironically, he's now down to 10
