I can’t believe so many people are planning their trades before knowing who they’ve got in the eliminator. I’ll be using all 4 of my remaining trades to try and ruin the day of whichever one of you lot I run into.

That all seems a lot more reasonable with 7 trades left. If the Bula to kiraz isn’t needed I’m not sure why you’d do it this week?

No Lemu so I'd be playing Kris this week mate. Kiraz almost came in for me 2 weeks ago, his DPP probably helps me make the move

    5 trades left

Trade 1 for me is Nikorima to Cleary. Would have made this last week, but Cleary not playing meant I got Niko's 66 which was handy.

2nd trade I want Murray. Tohu, Preston the main trade out candidates, but feel I'm setting up for yeet regret when they put up good scores and I run out of trades. Similar situation to many on here. Kind of hope TLT makes a decision for me.

    Team would be

    Grant
    JDB Horse Hopgood
    Fifita Bateman
    Hynes Cleary
    Penis Lemu
    Teddy Drinkwater Edwards

    Tohu Preston DCE SJ
    Ponga Hands Palasia Kris

Ponga the default loop option because he has the lowest floor.

4 trades. 3 if I bring Murray in

I managed to scratch out 1043 and move into the top 1000 (931) for the first time this season.

Pending team lists I think I'm gonna just make the 1 trade this week to bring in Cleary (probably for Harris).

That would leave me with 5 trades left and:

    Grant
    Haas JDB Hopgood
    Fifita Bateman
    Cleary Hynes
    Manu Kris
    Drinkwater Ponga Bula

    SJ Munster iPap Lemuelu*
    Graham* Munro NAS Hands

Having both Lemuelu and Graham on the bye this week means I can set up a loop where I get a look at Munro. If he goes big I'll take his score, if not I'll move NAS up. Depending on NAS' score I can then decide to play Hands over him or not.

There is a lot of love for Murray out there.

Are we expecting bigger minutes for him for the run home?

Because at that 55-65 mins he's probably priced not far off his average, and well below the top tier MIDs like Haas, Yeo, JDB, Horsburgh, Carrigan.

Priced around 48 mate. Potential for 55+ scoring

Priced 200k below most of the big boys and can match the scoring, but most I think upgrading higher mid rangers to him like a NAS

Yeah, and Rabbits sitting equal 8th, they're probably gonna need to be playing Murray for 60-70 mins. Been on the lower end since the injury in Rd 12 I think? and then origin. Hopefully ready to rip in after the bye last week.

I just thought of the biggest brained play... need 8K to do VTW + Tofu + NAS --> Cleary, Murray, Hors/Yeo. Might hold off on NAS --> Cleary for a week and hope Cleary ain't kicking this week and doesn't hit a 100 BE against the dogs who they should put 80 points on

rhinoceroo wrote:6 trades left, and have four in mind but in ascending order of luxury. The last three are hardly vital, but the four in combination would complete my 21 and leave cover for 1/2 week injuries everywhere, but would have to white knuckle it on way home. If I only made the first trade, everything would be a lot more comfortable.

    1) Simonsson to Cleary. Self-explanatory, lock it in.

    2) Sorensen to Murray. Sorensen could easily be kept, but it's a solid 50-55 guy to a possible 60+ player, particularly with Souths in danger of missing the eight. Not completely necessary, but likely an upgrade.

    3) Hopgood to Haas. Moves down a position in the rankings due to RCG injury, but still a likely upgrade from a 55-60 to a 65-70 player, and it would probably be bad not to own the best MID in the game for the run home.

    4) SSmith to Kiraz. Will hold off this one unless Kiraz gets DPP, at which point he becomes super-useful for looping and cover. Sandon has plenty of money still to make, but I probably won't be able to use it, so getting someone who fits in my squad is more important right now if the opportunity presents itself.

tl:dr, one trade locked, not sure on others... rush to optimum team or keep more insurance trades in hand

    1 and 2 I’d do in a heartbeat

3 is an upgrade but maybe a bit luxurious IMO. I think Hopgood is likely closer to 60 than 55, while Haas closer to 65 than 70. There’s are a lot of MIDs in that scoring range too. So I feel you don’t lose much waiting a bit on Haas, could be a more obvious opening due to injury/suspension to make the move in a week. This could also be not aggressive enough though.

4 is very squad dependent but sounds like it would make sense for you.

Tl:dr do 1,2,4. But I’m too cowardly to do 3

I just pulled the trigger on Robson to Murray.

Pretty much straight swap and should hopefully be a boost in scoring.

Can deal with Grant out if/when it happens.

It seems foolish to look at this before TLT, if not like Friday morning, but I am 6k short of Harris/Lemu to Murray/Cleary

So will probably go Harris/Penis to Murray/Cleary instead. Use Lemu to loop Kris and Kiraz (assuming DPP)

And that’ll leave me pretty sound for the run home with 5 left I think

Is there a chance Koro outscores Robson from here on? Particularly playing an extra game. Reckon there's a decent chance and that extra 130k would be fairly handy.
