I reckon he'll phone it in a bit - not risk the explosive acceleration, tackle-chases and really long kicks that earn him point and risk the hammy.

He can come in next week, after a cheeky 45k price drop.

I’m also wondering if they are up by 30 at half time will they be able to give him a early shower or will he want to stay out there?

For me it's timing around bringing in DFifi. Cleary is a much less urgent buy than big Davey.

I'm not sure waiting a week is a thing at this stage of the season....unless you need the $$ to make it happen

Assuming this is the guy at 21, I’d go Luke. Will play every week and is an injury away from being a 45pt player. Actually, could be that player in R27 if Panthers rest guys

I'm still looking at Russel if he remains starting tonight.

It's totally a thing, because averages are only informative over a period of time.

Like, this weekend I could swap Robson for Cleary - as many others are (Inc Community).

Robson is up against a Parra team who play up the middle a lot, and who leak tries around the ruck. He could well score 60-odd and none would be surprised.

Chin, returning from injury and against a bunch of also-rans, is trying to make sure he lasts the season. He could well score 45 and no one would be surprised.

Playing the odds, on average, Cleary outscores Robson maybe 8 times in 10. At this stage of the season, maybe that 20% is worth the risk

I do, $50k from going Boyd to Cleary and don't want to downgrade Piakura yet.

I have enough money for NAS and Kris to Cleary and Murray. No reason not to pull trigger I can see. Garrick made CTR makes Kris more expendable. Even though NAS has DPP and no more byes I think he's done his job or should I hold?

    Got me thinking now.

Is Robson to Murray worth the trade? Maybe worth holding and seeing if an injury/suspension rises that makes a more obvious trade out target instead?

I dunno dude, I suck at Fantasy. FWIW I Think that it is a strong upgrade.

But maybe check with one of the acronyms (MS, MTB, MC, BZ, ET, GS....)and get a better view?

Maybe but also maybe not.....getting Cleary is also a hedge against all of the teams in front of you who will pick him up this week (plus taking the chance that he goes big to get a leg up on all the teams who don't). Getting Cleary is probably a conservative play which is in keeping with 90% of my game.

Like everyone else my views are clouded by my own egocentric view of what's in front of me so the statement was flippant. It's a relatively easy swap from Tohu to Cleary because I have 3 Warriors and I have chosen to keep AFB as my 20% play.

As you say, there are more than one way to skin a cat.

There's also the other risk in terms of not having Cleary to captain. Will be interesting to see the captaincy % though, maybe it will be pretty close between him and Hynes.

Decided not to go Tohu to Murray.

Looked good among another 3 trades but when singled out doesn`t make heaps of sense for my team.

Really torn on captaincy this week, Hynes seems safer while having the sense Cleary could go 100+.

Will be really enjoyable to own both of them and Fifita, Haas at the same time. No more hiding behind the couch.

Other than Turbo* have we seen any other player doing their hammy again in the first game back?

I really want Cleary but im struggling to find a move that works. im H2H so dont need him untill finals but If just go Robson to Murray and leave 6 trades that might close off the avenues for Cleary unless a gun gets injured.

    1. Fainu Munro Sandon Robson to Cleary Colq Burpo Skelton Completely sack my bench and go down to 3 trades: so would have those 3 and Kris as my 18-21.

    2. Robson Gagai to Cleary Averillo and then run a Kris Averillo Center 2

    3. Manu Sandon Robson to Cleary Penisini 280k guy so basically 1 more trade than option 1 but a "weaker" Center.

after all this its pointing towards just Robson to Murray

Hope so. Having Hynes at 98% captaincy or whatever it's been recently almost makes it redundant, it's a bit more fun when it's closer to a 50/50 split (plus whatever random POD captains the risk-takers chuck in on a given week).

I like option two, but would trade Manu rather than Gagai. Does the extra 70k let you stretch to someone like Ramien?

NRL Physio had some stats last week with hamstring reinjury rates being 10-15% but not necessarily first game back.

      Current date/time is Fri Sep 20, 2024 5:31 pm
