Although it feels like Tohu will go off in the 20th with a stubbed toe and Preston will miss 20 tackles, all on Tago 😜

Byes to come make the decision for me re Tohu and Preston. With SJ and Tohu you're already going to be relying on your 19th man that week, add a one week injury or suspension to a gun and things could get dicey real quick. Same goes for Matto+Hopgood rd27 (and why I might try move on Penis next week).

I would probably sell iPap over Preston if they both played all remaining games.

Some people may have clearer trade outs than these guys but there's not many cut and dry ones at the ~$700k price, which is typically the type of funds needed for Cleary, Haas, Yeo, Horse, DCE etc trades.

I think it's all splitting hairs at this stage....most of the guys we are talking about average between 50 & 55 and have the potential to go over 60 or under 50 on any given week.

It's probably more about byes, positional coverage and listening to your unreliable guts than anything else. Trying to pick who scores more or plays more minutes is pretty much guessing.

Do you think Matto is more likely to get 55mins now rather than 45mins or you think it’ll be 50mins? He’s avg 49 on avg in 50mins in 5 games off the bench this year.

It’s such a hard decision. Preston is over on the right now too and with Kikau back soon will Preston scoring drop a bit?

    51.3 minutes.

I have to agree with the 2nd point you’ve mentioned. I’m flipping coins over who is more likely to shit the bed this week, CNK or Ponga. My unreliable gut tells me Ponga and that’s because the Knights have been known not to show up for games against the big boys. As I write that, I came to the realisation that in a couple of Warriors wins, the Klok has not been much of a factor at all. Back to the coin flipping I go.

Assuming this is the guy at 21, I’d go Luke. Will play every week and is an injury away from being a 45pt player. Actually, could be that player in R27 if Panthers rest guys

Assuming you have mid and (probably less importantly HOK) coverage then yep.

Trading anyone that isn't Nicho Hynes to Cleary in a single trade is an upgrade. You shouldn't need to ask for advice on it
Only becomes a question if you have to downgrade another member of your starting 17 in order to afford it.

Fifita is also a clear upgrade in a single trade from just about anyone

In summary, you should have done some karma farming by making this a TU/TD post, with trading Cleary+Fifita in being the TU button

That is all true. but its also the last big upgrades most people are going to make to their team. After this its mostly sideways trading for injury/bye cover. So people want to get it right (which is hard because without hindsight its not obvious who the best tradeout is)

Chin is coming back from a famously-recurring injury.

    He wants to play finals.

He wants to walk off to applause at his 150th game.

    He's playing the easybeats.

I reckon he'll phone it in a bit - not risk the explosive acceleration, tackle-chases and really long kicks that earn him point and risk the hammy.

He can come in next week, after a cheeky 45k price drop.

I’ve got Boyd, NAS, Preston and Tohu as options for a trade out this week. Oh and also Isaako but I think (hope) he goes well in a tough position at the back end of the season. Although he probably doesn’t and I should trade him and one of NAS/Boyd since they are the cheapest

I'll happily take 55 from Cleary this week. You can have the cash
