Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
Pre-updates 803 for total of 2269. Moved up a couple of thousand spots to 4779. DCE average again, but i can't help but think, with all the injuries this season, trades are super duper precious and ya just have to keep him. Very impressed by Parcell and I'll bet Barrett was too. Could be a trade if the Jnik rumour was true

Jake Trbojevic in for Merrin for my side.
Had him all pre season but got put off by the head knock in the nines.
Already have JTurbo so likely one of the Dogs front rowers will come in or Mannering, ideally out of Merrin and Surgess only 1 will be out longish term so I can save on trades

Did Api just get dropped or injured? 80min Parcell looks so tempting

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
I picked Ferguson thinking that he might be a Dugan-esque FB, that may never happen, but I'd probably rather him getting an extended run back there since at CE he's nothing to write home about. Plus I don't have Latrell, so that kinda helps.
And with regards to Parcell, I started with him and no doubt I'm over the moon to see him get his chance and take it, but I'm not confident with Buhrer apparently due back next week, Koroisau lurking and Brown's newfound benchwarming ability.
On the plus side, Manly have looked better with Parcy on the field, so he could cement his spot if Manly get a roll on.

Agreed. Thinking Surgess will miss 2 weeks so is a hold.Welshy wrote:

If Merrin has glandular fever, he will be out for a while and will struggle when he returns.
On the positive side, he would be very cheap next year.

Fensom might be even cheaper in a weeks time but this guy could just pop an 80 at anytime. (I'm looking to bring him in next week)

Can't see Parcell getting dropped anytime soon.

Parcell 55 tackles, zero missed. Not only good for fantasy, but the guy just looked awesome in real terms. GET IN MY TEAM!

Minutes still very much up in the air, injuries have muddied the Raiders pack minutes but 100% being considered

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
I believe that Stuart was very keen for Tapine to play last week. Don't know if that was only due to the opposition being the Knights or whether it's a going to be a regular thing. I agree the minutes in the Raiders pack are worrying.Welshy wrote:

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
Okay I need advice..
My thinking is the following
- Z. Taia (Very low score after some decent scores in part because of a try. Bound to lose cash, and easiest to turn into a gun. I would most likely bring in Ma'u.)
Then I have the following options.
- T. Grant (Posted a decent score this week and is still getting 50+ minutes. He shouldn't lose cash but could be decent cover for Carter/Taupau while they are out. He still needs to be traded.)
- J. Nikorima (If he is dropped, I will probably trade sideways(ish) to M. Parcell if he looks to be getting solid minutes.)
- D. Cherry-Evans/J. Hastings/A. Taylor (I would like to fit T. Maire Martin into my squad if he looks to get a long term roll. Now D. Cherry-Evans is under performing but could improve. J. Hastings has been good but had a poor score in a game with 0 offensive stats. Cowboys were fired up after the loss, and still making cash. So isn't a worry. A. Taylor has had poor scores but could be finding his feet and only had 1 TA in his 40 point score this week.)
- B. Ferguson (He needs to move, if he is at FB may post an okay score this week. But I am looking at trading him for Hymel Hunt and probably want to do that sooner rather than later so I can get some cash out of it.)
Then I have J. Feeney, B. Henry and N. Green who need to move but not in a rush to do so with no real rookie options and pressing matters elsewhere.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
already narrowed down my options, minus any TLT shenanigans I'll be picking 2 trades between Taia -> Ma'u, Taia -> Dugan, JNik -> Parcell, DCE -> Parcell or DCE -> Martin.

@Random.
Taia - not sure as I haven't been watching him.
Grant - agree, however he is probably low on your priority list.
Nikorima - great trade. I have him the halves and will likely trade for TMM this week.
DCE/Hastings/Taylor - probably hold all 3. Who is your other half?
Ferguson - may depend on Mitchell's injury, but looks like a trade sooner rather than later.
Feeney/Henry/Green - won't lose money whilst not playing and no real options to replace with.

Also, I saw some-one asking earlier if Taupau has priors, he has a grade 3 dangerous contact charge from a swinging arm he put on Maloney late last year which would add 50% loading &, I'm not sure if it's too long ago to count (i think it's 2 years but i could very well be wrong), a grade 1 dangerous throw in April 2014 which would add 20% loading.

as narrowed down as this busted-arse team is gunna let me get, I still have Merrin, Mann, Henry, Feeney & Evans to deal with, but so long as they aren't bleeding money, they're at the lower end of the priority list.
