I got Peats, Surgess, Trent Morron,Carter, Kapow, Jnik, Claw, Benry Ngreen, Feeney,
Need both trades just to field a bare 17 crappy team.
*I also have Maubbs. I know he's playing but he's cursed crap as usual. When I picked Benry and Maubbs in the centres I knew I was doomed. DOOMED!

Slater's wife could literally drop a hot turd in the middle of the Melbourne Storm CEO's office and billy slater would still not be dropped.
Not a cold one though, no one would stand for that.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
Having a look at one of my league ladders this year I swear the people who are leading so far this year are doing so by not going by the usual logic top Fantasy players would and lucking out. One guy a hundred points in front of me has Hymel Hunt and Pat Mata'utia in the CTR's, pre-season you'd have thought having two back-rowers in the CTR's would score better than them but not the case at all.
With the patchwork side I have to field this week it'll be even tougher to make up the points but on one plus side a lot of people will also have a few problems in fielding a good 17 this week so it'll hopefully even out.

it looks like I'll be needing both trades to get 17 on the park this week...before the Sunday night game the world was all sunny and bright... then the clouds started to roll in

You know this how ? Munster was named fullback, Slater on the wing, he comes home filthy Monday night, she blows up and what do you know he's shoulder is injured and Munster plays fullback.
You guys are looking at it all wrong.
You are scouring TLT to find a player named out of position. That happened behind closed doors, as did the blow up. You need to be looking for a player who mysteriously didn't play.
I appreciate the round 2 theory before, but it is also based on the TLT assumption.
Look to Round 3 to find your answer

I was happy I had 4 backrowers in the centres. Two were cursed. Benry and Maubbs. One is okay CLaw and the other is a jolly ginger waste of space NGreen. DOOMED.

alot of these guys will drop off the pace as the season wears on. you (we've/etc) just got to play smart and trade smart and we'll slowly climb the rankings.
a couple of my mates who had no idea at hte start of the season (though have taken on loads of my advice) are currently beating me. a bit painful to deal with.. haha
i've taken comfort in the fact that while i'm in 6000'd odd place, a friend of mine is 930th-ish overall but i'm only 90 points behind him.

Then you chose well just like Indiana Jones did in The Last Crusade. Legit thinking of trading out Aubo for one of those guys so I can get Tolman in for Evans. Using two trades up when only 18 of my players look set to play this week is probably a dumb move but I am just so sick of their average scores (Not Evans fault coach doesn't give him more minutes though) and I don't want to have to look at their 30's for another week.

I thought Pat stood out as a cheap option who would score average in a position whcih is last to upgrade. He's gone above that, but how people missed it I don't know. Probably focusing too much on the numbers

Let me tell you, in the Melbourne storm its not Craig Bellamy who calls the shots, Its Cam smith and billy Slater.
No way known the golden child of the Melbourne storm gets dropped for anything. Billy Slater is the reason Melbroune are on the map in the first place. Everyone's 8 year old son wants to go see Billy play.
No way known he is dropped for his wife having a spat

During pre season Slater voiced concerns over his shoulder not feeling right when others said its all sweet. He then hurts his shoulder again in his first game back resulting in him being out of the game for a long time. He then decides to go to a different doctor/surgeon. Simple.

If I'm reading the charge sheet right Lawrence misses a week even if he fights it and is unsuccessful.
Worth a shot? I can't remember the incident.
Hopefully Carter wins the judiciary lottery this week..

Yeah you're right I'm just getting a little ahead of myself because people who are self-professed clueless players are doing well and I'm not because they didn't overthink things. Like we might have picked Evans or LAM because we analysed their PPM rate and thought they were undervalued and they've underperformed whereas a new player probably wouldn't have even known what PPM stands for.
I'm thinking Origin period is the time to make up the ranks for me. I started out slow, hovering around the 30 range in a 150+ group last year but with good bye planning I reached #1 and stayed there until about the last 5 rounds where I ran out of trades and dropped to eventual 3rd place.

Slater was a conspiracy theory I threw out there because he was the first player who came to mind who didn't play. But the theroy is the important part to solving the riddle.
