Latrell Mitchell is listed as "ribs, Round 4" not shoulder on the NRL site. Was updated yesterday or is that an old injury they haven't deleted?

Can't see anyone taking it from him. If Mamo comes in it'll be on the wing/fullback. Plus even then it looks like Denniss is ahead of Mamo. The fact that Gagai is playing fullback is only great news for him.
I can't see Ross, Uate or Mamo playing centre

I think its all balderdash. Not any of the big reporters have said anything about him on twitter today and they found out stuff like Merrins sniffles and the fact that TMM was making his debut.

Thinking of bringing him in for Feeney or Mann

All good, I don't see Mann forcing his way back into the side any time soon plus they still have Dufty yet to make a debut who I think if Dugan does go down Mary will give him a crack I have no proof to base this on however.

That's fine, was thinking of bringing Hunt in for Feeney aswell, because those two are doing absolutely nothing.Mighty Fishes wrote:

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
Ah hell everyone I can't believe I'm even typing this but I am seriously starting to re-consider trading out Aubusson. I say that because I looked at his stats and in the first 2 rounds he actually outscored CLaw and the shift to centre affected what likely would have been another 30+ score so he's not scoring incredibly poorly per se but rather he's just losing a lot of money. I can still trade Evans out for J Turbo by getting Aloiai out of my team but it'd only leave me with 3k so I think it's risky but not like Aloiai is worth keeping anyway as he might not make much more money.
I don't know something in my gut is telling me to keep Aubusson and I don't know whether it's my blind devotion and optimism as a Chooks fan or if it's the Black Widow luring me into his poisonous web. What is going on here?

The problem I have is that im down 5 trades already and I want my team to grow. I feel if I bring in Hunt now i'll have to trade someone else out to upgrade Freeney or Benry to anyone decent. I am going to wait and do nothing with them because there will always be new cows.. Always. We haven't seen Bevan French, Josh Addo Carr or MCK. Plus no one had any idea Cory Deniss would have made a debut hell most people on here have probably never even heard of him before last weekend myself included I thought Mamo would come in.
The only player I want out of my team is Nathan Green but with his departure he is now no longer a priority to get out. Im hoping Auva'a gets a start soon enough and i'll pounce

Your Name wrote:I'm doing well this year, I haven't checked a BE yet. Some of my players have made money, some have lost money, but I don't know which. What I do know is so far there are only 2 types of trades you should have made:
1. Dud cows for cows you may have missed
2. Injury
and in that order. At least that's PGC said and it was the same the year before. So put your PPM's away and get the basics right, next couple of weeks upgrade, then the weeks after that bye plan, do your best in the middle taking the good with the bad and then finalise as early as you can after the bye rounds.
Simple.
A lot of scaremongering goes on about trades here [happens every year]. Trading is an intricate tool of Fantasy, and if you don't trade WISELY -as compared to only when necessary - you WILL fail to reach your potential.
I can't remember where on the site I saw PhilGould'sChins recap - but i'm pretty sure he Double-Traded for the first 10 or 11 weeks.
Now most of those would have been Cows and injuries, but, i'm guessing a few of them would have been "gut" calls as well.
'Picking and sticking' is not always the best approach.

Yeah if I'd only traded dud cows for cows or injuries, I'd still have: N Friend, Liu, LAM & Simona. No thanks. I had my reasons for picking them, they didn't pan out, so trading to fix mistakes early in the season is pretty important.

I have the cash to do a straight swap of Feeney and Mann to Hunt and PMat, I'll be 6 trades down and still have a fair amount of cash. Although like you say there will be new cows in the futureMighty Fishes wrote:

its very unlikely that anyone has selected the best 17 to start the year. The first few rounds are your chance to get out the dud picks and bring in the studs.
The hard part is working out who has fluked a good score in the first couple rounds, and who is going to maintain it. Sometimes you do need a bit of gut feel.
Same with trading people out, have to work out who will bounce back and who just won't perform this year.
The longer you wait to make a call on someone, the more cash and points you are giving up.
I can pretty much guarantee whoever wins the comp thus year will be double trading the first month or so

Problem with Aubbo is there is no one solid to replace him.
Hymel Hunt and PatMat look OK, but will they sustain it. Claw suspended, and no other starting second rowers in centre.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
Currently have Aubbs, Gutherson, Scott, Littlejohn, Ferguson, Mitchell, Barba, Feeney, Mann making up my backs at this stage, would it be overkill to bring in PMat and Hunt??
I don't feel like any other area needs attention at this stage, no long term injuries or suspensions and the cows are ticking over the cash. Obviously a few guys underperforming but hoping they can turn I around at some point, any thoughts?

I'm struggling to give any advice here, I have Aubbs and at this stage I will just ride him out. Gutherson is going well. Scott I believe has a little niggle and the needle didn't work before Warriors game (but is one I will look to bring in possibly at the right time), Littlejohn I have and will just sit on for the time being as Davis is out and PMat/Hunt ship has sailed for me. Mitchell and Barba are going well.
Your problems lie in Ferguson without a good Roosters team (less attacking stats) but he is fit so I would hold, and Mann whom has been dropped on form. I would be looking to upgrade Mann depending on money probably to Michael Gordon because the Eels will put some teams away and he plays all the big byes. You have to look long term for your trades.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 17
With how valuable trades are and how long it takes to sort out cows now that we are into the season ie bringing a new one in, waiting to mature, then harvesting one week, and using the cash the next week for gun upgrade I'm beginning to think that cows in the ctr, and Wing position (not fullback) almost aren't worth getting in considering how long they take to mature, and the fact they night not even be worth the two trades it will take to bring in and harvest, they could potentially turn out like copley (ie might never score enough to make much money or may get injured long term meaning the trade to bring him in was wasted anyway). I think I'm happy to leave feeny, and copley in my ctr Wfb. Means I don't have to worry about a crap ae also from an under performing cow.
Cows in hlf, 2nd row, Frf, hok are a different story of course as they are not as risky as ctrs and wingers.
