So who we bringing in this week? I can afford anyone for Latrell.
Tino? nearly grabbed him last week...
Carrigan? Only just traded him out.. haha
Drinkwater? Bit more of a gamble
AFB? Risk of rest (reduced mins)
Gagai? Ultra consistent but hmm..

Munster? Or is that too many halves
Wise man told me Zac Hosking is a great late season option…

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
Crichton plays FB for Panthers, surely? McLean has been playing CTR and WNG in reserves.
I reckon Eels might roll the Panthers, or will at least make it close. They tend to match up pretty well with the Panthers and outs starting to pile up
I’m a couple of games out of the prizes in my tipping comp so might take the gamble

I like Tino. But maybe Giraffe Neck if you don't have him?

You know the rules, can't bring Carrigan back in
My dartboard says Tino.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
Unwelcome news for some, sorry fanatics.
I'm happy to play Koula instead of Edwards. Save the last trade. Need Null and my other backs to actually play, but if they do, I can now double loop Graham and Cheese with two players as yet undecided, via Ted and Dedwards. First thoughts are Nikora (against Ponga's left side attack) or Harris if I can work it but playing second makes it a challenge.

I can set one of those elaborate motherfuckers up as well but actually remembering to action it on the weekend is way beyond me
Good old fashioned single loop for me and the odds are heavily weighted towards me still fucking it up
I might captain DCE for the lols

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
I'm going to post this as part overt brag, part question for help, and part case study on looping for those that could use assistance in the dark arts.
The plan is:
Grant
Haas Horse Hopgood
Fifita Bateman
Cleary Hynes
Ramien Null
Manu Edwards Tedesco
Dce SJ Koula Ponga
Harris Graham Nikora Smith.
A lot of loop questions get posed. "I can't loop this guy because he plays first" for example. In this case, Koula and Ponga are coming in for Edwards (who plays first) and Tedesco, no matter where in my 14-21 I put them. And because they play later in the round, it gives flexibility for me to move them around.
And so if I leave it there, Harris and Graham come in for the bench spots vacated by Koula and Ponga. If Harris scores well, I can then look at Graham's score, and if I don't like it, I can swap Nikora or Smith with say Koula, and get their score instead.
My question is, if Harris scores crap, I think I need to then just pick which two guys out of Nikora/Graham/Smith to play - unless there's a better way to set it up so I can loop that too?? And I want to make sure I haven't messed it up. I think I'm competent at secondary level looping++, but there's some tertiary level guys in here.
Finally, the other concern, is that you don't want your loops to fuck you in the event of a late out. I've got Harris at first loop, who I would play anyway if looping wasn't available. If Horse was out, we would likely know at the 24 hour cull (before the Roosters play), so if Harris was crap, I could swap Horse with Cheese anyway. I guess another consideration is if there's a further out to my backs, do I play short or use my final trade, and am I set up for that? That one can wait until morning I think.
Finally (again), even if looping isn't your thing, it's important to know how your subs are ranked so you can legitimately setup your bench correctly.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
No Worries covered some of it. Aside though Trell pulled himself out of the round 21 game against Brisbane he just said I’m not playing and Jai Arrow blasted him in front of the whole group. Trell was in a pub on the Central Coast in the arvo day before our game against the Knights. Cody and JD had an argument Cody wanted Ilias dropped etc….. Cook stood up for Lachy etc….. there is tension between Cody and Damien now. Cody has walked out of some training sessions early.
JD thinks Sam has been too hard on the players etc… JD and Sam have massively clashed heads.
Personally I’m not sure JD is tough enough and can manage the players.
It is quite the mess. Makes me wonder has JD lost the dressing room. I noticed now he’s got rid of his Twitter account.
Anyway it’s all miserable been a big few days I’m appalled. Something tells me we haven’t hit rock bottom yet either. I’ve suspected something hasn’t been right for a while.
I think Sam will be our head coach down the track though.

That right there sounds like Souffs actually had a pretty solid balance of good cop/bad cop.

Lol well there goes my final trade if I want to play 17 this week, half a mind to boot Edwards to Walsh just so I don’t have to look at him in my team anymore, bastard has single-handedly torpedoed what could have been a personal-best season and he has the gall to sit in my WFB smiling about it

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 79 - Refs own goal
McLean?! I was just hoping he'd play next week when I picked him up a few weeks ago. Hopefully bags a hatty and sticks around. Probably gonna score 20, but some hope of saving the final trade if he scores well enough. Just need VTW to sneak in now too.
