    Shout out to:-

Billy Walters - lol. Used to watch him play 6 for east tigers a few years ago, great in attack but couldnt tackle to save his life. Managed to overcome to 'coach's son' stigma/pressure to actually become a somewhat ok NRL hooker, a grand final hooker. Im not even joking, hes one of my favourite players

Tyson Smoothy - not sure if he was even on a broncos contract mid year? Not sure anyone really knows who he is? But gets to play a GF next week

I may be being a bit biased in this, but I reckon that the Broncos have the perfect style of play to prove to be the foil for Penrith's. I think a big factor in how the game plays out will be Broncs ability to keep their errors down.

Broncs seem to be able to score from anywhere on the field, which negates a good portion of the field position focussed game of the Panthers.

Just back from the game. Obviously not the result I wanted, but it was a hell of an atmosphere. Probably the loudest I've ever heard it at Suncorp.

After scoring the first try and then nabbing that intercept I was full of hope, but ultimately the Broncos were just far too good.

Despite some questionable calls, it's hard to blame the refs when you lose by 30. Yes, that pass was clearly forward, and I thought we probably should have had a penalty for a high shot in the first half and the Broncos scored in the next set. There were one or two other calls that I thought were marginal, but it was hard to tell from where I was sitting so will reserve judgement. But realistically, poor defence (DWZ, looking at you) and poor goal kicking cost us more than the refs could, and you expect a bit of that playing away from home anyway.

Hard to be too upset - beaten by a far better side and if you'd told me pre-season the Warriors would make the prelim final I'd have been elated.

Kudos for joining the Red Cross mate. A bloke who cuts through the bullshit and just gets shit done is a good addition to the humanitarian effort.

Loomer wrote:Will they finally change the rules on forward passes after that joke? Sutton been fucking us all game like I knew he would. Broncos slowing down the play the ball all game but they get penalty for nothing on 2nd tackle that led up to Farnsworth try. Warriors not allowed to win NRL ever
To be fair to Sutton he was well away from that pass to properly see if it was forward if I were you I’d me more angry at the Touchie he was right in front of that. Also just to put it into perspective the Broncos play ball speed was 3.61 secs yours was 3.31 secs so there was actually slower mate.

In fairness though the Broncos were by far the superior team but I get your frustration I’m sure I’d have felt the same if it that happened to my Bunnies. Well done on a brilliant year though from the Warriors you should be very proud of them.

As for the GF these two sides deserve it they’ve been the best 2 sides all year. I’d like Brisbane to win because I can’t stand Penrith but I think it will be tight but Penrith narrowly win.

On another note I’m off tomorrow arvo at 3pm to Commbank for the NSW Cup GF my Rabbitohs have made it and are playing the Bears. I’ll be sitting in the Burrow should be a good atmosphere I was only expecting 5000-6000 there but apparently they’ve sold 10,000 tickets so it should be good. The likes of Ta’affe, Munro, Thompson, Hawkins, Mamozelos, Shaq and Duncan will be playing for us and the Great Buddy Yileen Gordon is still around yes you heard right he’s 36 years old and still playing. He does lots of charity work for Souths Cares with indigenous youth as well.

The Bears just happen to be one of the two Rorters feeder teams this year too so they’re scum in my eyes so it’d be great to get the win.

Ezra Mam looking mighty dangerous. At just 20 years old he is a true livewire. Developing his decision making very well. Got a bit of speed. Very good defensively. Exciting times for the Broncs.

Good to see there were some more sensible takes on here after I went to bed! Anyone who thinks the Broncos weren't significantly the better team is dreaming. They were really rollling through the middle which did the damage.

That forward pass was obviously a bloody shocker, agree with Rabbits it's mainly on the touchie as it so often is. Other than that the rest of the calls were within the realm of "normal" with some ones that could go either way as there are every week.

Was a great ride, an awesome season for the Warriors, hopefully they can build on it next season.

the panthers & broncos proved they are both playing at a much higher level than the rest so we all probably expected these blowout wins.

I see the Daly-M contenders have been announced and Rookie of the year will be one of:
    Jahream Bula (Wests Tigers)
    William Warbrick (Storm)
    Sunia Turuva (Panthers)

I am scratching my head how Jacob Preston (who I would've thought wins it) isn't even there???

Is it because of a suspension?

Thought it might be a good idea to do up a Grand Final banner if the admins deem it a good idea.

Yep 2+ week suspension means he’s ineligible

However, players who are suspended for two games will be ineligible to collect any awards, deeming players such as Reece Walsh, Corey Horsburgh, Jacob Preston, Dale Finucane, Felise Kaufusi, Jeremy Marshall-King, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, Jahrome Hughes, Scott Drinkwater, Valentine Holmes, Jeremiah Nanai, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Jack de Belin, Joseph Suaali’i, Victor Radley, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Marata Niukore not available.

Meh the missed forward pass was a shocker for sure, but if people are going to let that dominate theit discussion today, honestly, that just seems a bit sad to me.
