    Here's the full list of players currently available in the NRL database;
    There's obviously quite a few that won't be in the final system (retired, left to Superleague etc).

    The standard Magic Number seems to be: 13750

    There is obviously the usual variation around this, but the vast majority are within 1 or 2 points of that number.

    Just an isolated anecdotal player;

    Jordan Pereira played one game (scoring a two-try 50 pointer) and is priced at $688k (i.e a 50 average)

    I haven't looked further into others, but definitely no discount for low number of games there.

    I wonder if these prices might not be finalised as yet

    Here's all the DPP players.
    Special shout out to Taniela Sadrugu who gets the legendary WFB-MID dual;

    I expect the duals should change. No reason for Hopgood or Gilbert to have EDG, or Boyd to have HOK, Hands and Walters HLF

    They’re just last years DPPs yeah? Assume they do some minimal maintenance before it goes proper live. Probably to some prices as well

    I expect that there's a fair bit of tinkering left to be done before anything is solidified.

    Ironically Bird appears to have lost the CTR DPP and is now only available at Edge - assumedly this is a response to the NRL current headline story: "Jack of all trades eying return to centres under Flanno"

    Haha, my bad - I should've said "Sadrugu has" rather than "Sadrugu gets"
    There are a heck of a lot of players in there that are highly unlikely to be seen in the NRL this year

    Look at our second rowers Keaon then Host, Chee Kam, Lovett. They have N. Butcher, Angus, Sitili, Wong it’s a big difference. On the wings Tupou and Dom we have AJ and Munro/I. Thompson and AJ isn’t on much with us either he isn’t paid that much. They are stacked for second row and the backs and still strong in every area.

    We let Knight go he was on 500k last year of that deal, we let Sele go 250-300k, Taaffe 250k gone, Jed 250k gone and T. Burgess has dropped from 800k to 450k going into next season.

    Keaon upgrade doesn’t kick in til 2025 he is on 600-650k next season and Campbell upgrade kicks in til 2025. Also re Keppie Manly are chipping in part of his contract.

    Racism dunno where you’re getting that from there was no intention of being racist.

    It did come across as a bit racist my friend. I've no doubt that wasn't your intention, but like Beth says, copy and paste is your friend

    Funny that you'd say about 31 year old Tom Burgess dropping in salary, yet question 34 year old JWH - are you trolling us haha

    Yeah I was checking if they had already given him MID/EDG, which would have meant he never got CTR, even if he played there all season. Fortunately they only have him as EDG.

    Taumalolo is only 30, but is a shell of the former player that commanded a million per year for 10 years. If he had done a shorter deal, he would have been in for a massive pay cut.

    I am hoping he plays CTR round 1 - has a higher average there.

    He debuted as a CTR, it's definitely his preferred position. Actually seems to make more early set runs playing there than wing, which is unusual.

    He's likely too expensive to start with, but I'm still bitter he didn't get the DPP in the last update last season.

    I really can't be arsed with the prices and positions until, I dunno, February? Too busy making my patented FPL charge. Will definitely win the league here for the 3rd time in 4 years.

    Taumalolo definitely won on that deal.
    He would've been in for a big pay cut if he stayed at the Cowboys, but it's possible he could've still gotten a decent pay packet (not $1mil) somewhere else.

    I'm still not sure if he is simply a shell of his former self, or if the team set-up only allows him to be what he currently is...?

    I have been wondering that as well. You get the impression from the way he was talking about work load that he expects the younger team mates to pick up the slack. It is really surprising, as up until a couple of years ago, he was the one Cowboy you could guarantee would put in 100% effort every week.

    Rueben Garrick still has CTR dual, that's the main thing Laughing

    The prices and positions feel more a curiousity than anything at this point. No major feels for starting 17's, no certainty around cap (will it be $10mil again?), no prices for those coming from Super League yet...

    The extent of my football knowledge is limited to coaching an under 5's team that lost all but one game Laughing but that seems some quality flexing!
