Welcome back Booze - no Contrasting Hobby this year?

As always, you are the man who will lead the charge up the ladder to glory in Fantasy land.
I look forward to your wisdom and insight - as well as the left-field picks that come up roses.

I was always a big TPJ fan, but in hindsight, did feel like he was part of the problem(s) at the club.

Don't know if we really need him but if he put his head down then sure, get in there.

Maybe a 25-30 min bench role for him..stick him at the Magpies for the first half of the season and see if he really wants it

Feel like the whole story is BS anyway

It certainly reeks of a BS story, but stranger things have happened.

I think we haven't really seen the best of TPJ yet, but it all relies on him getting his head right - if he does, he could be an asset to any premiership drive, if he doesn't he's possibly bad for team unity - though the Bronco's aren't full of kids anymore, so maybe that helps as well

No Contrasting, can't shake a name here so just roll with Booze
I am enjoying my retirement from fantasy and been busy moving house/real life stuff to even glance at anything league related.
Happy to just lurk, might even grab a template team for fun closer to kick off

If you were in the FOG (Our Fanatics overall league) then someone might have a copy of your rank somewhere. But otherwise you are probably out of luck. Fanhub don't save historical data for your team

I am wondering if anyone is seriously considering not picking Xerri. He is supremely fit and compared to his rookie season - almost ten points underpriced.

Seems like gold in a CTR position?

Hearing he may start in reserve grade. Lots of competition for a CTR spot - Crichton, Tracey, Kiraz.

Is he going to be the same player when not jacked up on illegal substances?

Not sure its an auto pick to select a guy who hasn't played in 4 years because he is supremely fit (is this better or worse than training the house down?)

Also, his 2019 average of 40.4 was under 3 point TB scoring.
Adjust that to today's 2 point TBs and his average is 36. Not a huge upside compared to his 33 breakeven

Have you been getting jacked up reading illegal fan forums again Matt?

I don't think he ever played while taking steroids - he used them in an attempt to recover from a shoulder injury faster...
There is no doubt he is their best CTR outside of Crichton who will be FB....

He paid a heavy price for his mistake as a teenager - He does not really need this kind of bigotry

He was 18 years old playing in a debut season... His average was also 42.1 if you takeaway the injured game.

Check out the average for the second half of the year compared the first for a better indication of where the average may rest.

“He probably found the conditioning side of things hard early on, being out of the game for quite a while, but once he got that conditioning base he’s just worked really hard and shown the talent level he’s got,” Ciraldo said. “We’re really excited about how he’s going.”

Better players have come back from shorter stints outside the game and taken time to adjust (Hayne, Holmes, Hopoate to name a few)

Not only do I think picking a centre from a bottom 4 side is a bad idea, I also don't like the philosophy of spending above 400k on such a terrible position

Happy new year all. Hope everyone had a productive off season.

Just catching up, I read someone asked about team lists for round one and not sure if it was answered, but I came across this:

    - Round 1 Team AnnouncementsTeam lists for Round 1 will follow standard rules of anouncement. This means the teams for the first two games of the split Round 1 (i.e. Broncos, Rabbitohs, Roosters & Sea Eagles) will be announced as follows:

*Game Squad: 4pm AEDT on Tuesday, 27 Feb
*24-hour squad update: 1.30pm on Saturday, 2 Mar
*1-hour squad update: 12.30pm on Sunday, 3 Mar

This same cycle will be followed for alll remaining matches in the season, starting Tuesday, 5 Mar.

Also I might add this to the 1st post of the thread, we get a lot of people regularly asking every year about when dpp updates occur:

    - Dual-Position Player (DPP) Updates:

Secondary position updates are scheduled after the Tuesday team lists drop for:
    - Round 1
    - Round 7
    - Round 14
    - Round 21
