Yeah the early season heat plays a part for the mids and maybe some edges. I'll try not to make any kneejerk reactions when some minutes are a little lower the first few rounds, as long as the player landed the role I picked them for.

It's particularly interesting looking at the Cowboy's schedule - they are at home for only 2 games (Knights, Titans) of the first 7.
So much for any thoughts of picking Robson because he'll be darting behind overheated southern middles in the last 15 minutes.

Just training the house down type vibes, did they not like Hands last season?
They signed Lussick mid season last year and played his first game off the bench and after that started for the rest of the year. Also been named to start with the 'A' team this week.
Did I just not pay attention to the Eels last season.. I thought Hands was meant to be their guy lol. Fuck I'm thick

Probably gets limited minutes because he's in a limited minutes role?
Even if you're right, there is minimal loss in cash or points in waiting 1-2 weeks. You are taking all the risk for limited upside when trying to guess INT roles.

Well he kind of was, but then they signed Lussick late-season from ESL and Lussick became the starter pretty much straight away

Part of the reason I started so poorly last year (50k after about 8 rounds) was a few low ownership players that were independently decent picks but didn't go as expected which left me needing mass changes to catch the pack.
Hastings, Collins, Ponga, Turbo, Kenny, TMM the main suspects. Add in some early injuries (Ford, Bsmith) to the usual dud popular picks (Talau, HSS, Doueihi) and there is no way back.
Going more cookie cutter makes it easier to not fall behind early then trade your way to the front
I hope you were not insinuating that the team I posted earlier was helping to frenzy you thrice - coz I am as cookie-cutter as they come.

Just had a look at my auto pick team and I reckon every year old Mavrik (took me three goes to get the correct incorrect spelling) Geyer gets thrown in the mix. He would have to getting close to ‘rugby league myth’ status, is he ever going to get a run in first grade?
