Been torn between Cotter and Elliot, both good 2022 and poor 2023 fantasy wise

I think Elliot should see big mins if Knights are going to be splitting time at EDG and HOK early on at least

Elliott got the same 54 minutes at lock at Knights last season, as he did at Raiders the year before. It was his PPM that was down.

    I doubt that much changes.

Just an FYI for people looking at Manly Middles that Lodge did his ACL at the end of last season and will be out for a significant chunk of this season

just looking at Papys stats - he is still got value in him when starting - but compared to 2022 (avg 50) he loses around 7.5 points a game from goal kicking with Meaney keeping that role (avg 42) - probably still going to be in my side - but not the walk up cash cow that everyone might be assuming - especially if a little slow out of the blocks after his injury

That’s a pretty ambitious 8 month turn around from the operation…..I could be wrong of course given my medical degree is from the same school as Doctor Nick

It’s usually 6-9 month recovery for ACL

That 50 average includes 19 min game

Across his career he’s mid 50s average. Minus TB changes and GK it’s still easy 10 points value

Meaney seems priced around where he'll score for me, with GK

Papy is ok value, he might start slow but he shouldnt lose cash. Everyone will have him though and if he busts a 80+ or teo early on then youre in a bit of trouble if you go without

I think Papy is an autopick because no need to risk your season at the start.

He looked sharp in that first trial he played

Yeah I was going by the casualty ward. Quick google says ACL injury requiring surgery could take 8-12 months for athletes, so dunno if that's more accurate.

I think Sipley's Rd 4 return kills off scores and Brown needs to be moved quickly. Last 15 starts as a ~58 min LK has him averaging less than 40. Averaged 45 from 22 starts in 2021 at 59 mins. Wouldn't make much cash or provide must have scores those 3 rounds I think.

To do it in R23 last season and be back for R5 the following season sounds a bit optimistic. Would be just over 7 months out.
