I don't think anyone is a must have based on draw. I haven't even considered Ponga at that price. Teddy at 670k is already troubling the fundage, I dunno where I'd find another 87k to replace him with Ponga.

Sad times when I'm seriously thinking of running with NBrown and Levi to start the season bounce

I've got Ponga and initially had Best as well for that very reason. There is the theory to go lesser and spend up on your mids or hookers who are usually more safer options re: scoring.

So in a hypothetical world, we need to pick 3 CTRs:

    No Strange in the 17.
    No Cotric in the 17.
    No Aitken at EDG.
Burbo only plays 1 week on the EDG.

Who are your 3 CTRs (1 for cover), gun to head, week 1?

    Is it Penis/Mariner/Kris?

    No.

Ponga went on an insane run back end of last year. Such things are generally not sustainable.

He is priced above his historic average as an 80 minute fullback

Yes but I’m not seeing much value at WFB. Take Ponga though and it means probs no good second half or no gun hooker

I've been updating the team analyser so you can look back through previous histories. Eg change year to 2023, find team, and then view squad by round.

Hey mate noticed a bit of a bug here
When filtering top 100 for 2024 I can't seem to find my team name
Hope this is fixed before round 1

Not sure I trust Burbo enough. I dunno who I'd put behind him as CTR cover. No one cheap anyway. Feel there's a decent chance he plays 60 odd mins week 1 and then benched and minutes/role all over the place. Not sure I even want him at 21 with that in mind.

Agreed. I'm still tossing up a Ponga / Kini / Pappy back 3 with Weekes / ?? cheap WFB cover, or downgrading Ponga and picking up Cobbo (DPP) and then padding out Centre with the Hammer. Even though neither will make a lot of coin, they are both locked in to play (unless injured) and can cover WFB / Centre, so Kini / Burbo / Weekes / Stewart / Iro or whoever can sit in 18-21 for bye cover.
Even though its a lot of cash in the dumpster fire position, I have burned through waaay too many trades over the past 2 years trying to fix it once I started with cheapies.

Reimis Smith, Jesse Arthars and Rocco Berry the 3 in contention. I'd probably pair 2 of them with Talau and hope he falls over the try line

Talau isn't even going to make the 17

That may be a good thing for having him in your 17, means he's unlikely to give you a negative score. But you can probably do better

It'd be Kris and Penisini for me, and for the 3rd one I would be praying that Tesi Niu gets in ahead of Averillo for left centre (and then gets given dual because of that)

Did someone say no KFC (Suli)

I had him in before trials and took him out because he was on Flanagan’s side but he looked good in 2nd trial. Praying for a bounce back to 2022 levels (41 excluding injury) and mainly because he has no bye until R11.

Arthars job security is reasonably safe, right? His spot unless he shits the bed? Or is Mariner a good chance at jumping him soon? Have had him in my team as a completely uninspiring pick but handy for DPP and if he's safe enough ill probably just roll with it
