The Lussick / Cheese combo, like a picnic brunch, waiting for blow flies to wreck the whole plan.

Feeling like we're all way too hot on Hutch.
He didn't look great in the trials.
He's a bit of a journeyman - in that everyone has seen a bit of him and no-one's previously been impressed.
He scored well for a gun team - including a tonne. But the Doggies are not exactly overrun with attacking weapons.
He'll be behind a pack with smallish/crapish middles, not idea for quick good ball.
He doesn't have great job security, and the Dogs have a tough draw that could worsen that.
Metcalf and Mam are ~50k more, but are good players for good teams.
...
..
.
Just don't feel it should be a compulsive buy.
Suspect I'll fade him completely - either in favour of Flanagan (daddies boy gets job security) or Metcalf, despite the injury risk.

Gonna be good if we all have to find an extra 80k from somewhere if Angus is named over Sitili tomorrow. Even better if it happens an hour before kickoff in a Trent special.

So, McInnis and Finucane named as co-captains, meaning one of them should be on field at all times, differs from last year how exactly?

Unless they line up McInnes Lock and Finucane prop in R1, McInnes isn't a buy.

I think he is one of the safest money makers available, especially considering the seemingly slim picking this year.
He averages 50 as 5/8th and 46 at number 7. Granted that 102 score pushes his average up a lot at half, but I would say that given that 5/8th is typically a lower scoring position, that he probably can hit his 5/8th score or more. Bulldogs seemingly want Burton to be running the ball more meaning Hutch will be the dominant half, so I reckon will get a not insignificant amount of kicking and has a big tackle base.

Just a reminder for everyone, make sure you dont have gaps in your team at first lock out this weekend, or you will have an invalid team. Will need to have selected a C and VC as well.

I'm pretty disinterested in attacking stats from the Roosters being applied to the Bulldogs - it's not relevant. What is relevant is the eye test from the last two games, and anyone who thinks that man is a 40+ scorer has a different perspective to me.

Idk if it's because I picked him up in draft, but I also have Hunt in and out of my team. Don't think we see an SJ-style renaissance because the Dragons are not in any world going to come top four, but if he's kicking like a half and running like a five eighth while Flanagan's role is just to shovel the ball on and drive his dad to work then he could be a decent call.

That sounds like every Dragons 6 before Flanagan.

I would expect that too. I don’t think McInnes would play 80mins but should get high 50’s mins at close to a ppm probs 5-6 points value there
The McInnes "news" (rumours) are interesting.
He's a proven tackle-bot gun (in the mold of the great Sean Fensom), and has a big motor for minutes.
Perhaps Fitzy's realised he needs to tighten up the middle D for the Sharks to trouble the big dog teams.
A 65 - 70 min McInnes would be sub-gun juicy. Hmmmm
