Just reading about him. It seems like he's fairly small, fairly light but super fit. One player of the year for redcliffe dolphins, playing mostly in the halves.

Seems like a fun pick, albeit bad bye, no job security + don't know if he's up to first grade standard.

Highly rated in The system. Was resigned actually. He's a half but he's all guts. I'm assuming they want him there for ball playing. Similar to Mann I guess but goes in like Cotter. Not saying he's THAT level but he's got wraps.

Sitili get the hell out of my team. One less worry

Sitili was always a silly pick and Wong probably the wrong pick too

Played 2 games off the bench last year at lock and went decent, so definitely capable of doing it.

EDIT: Looks a fair bit like fleggy so that may of played a part in his selection

Yeah I think The have decided Plath has a future as a lock/dummy and Donoghue has a future as a half. Almost swapped their initial maps of progression. Both really talented players so I hope Plath really does get a good run - he deserves it.

Loving the anxiety levels in here. Mine are also up, like my Penisini

Someone sell me on Mr Smithers. Preferably with numbers but I’ll accept other offerings

Who cares about the numbers. The obvious answer is the more Raiders players the better! What could possibly go wrong?

    Updated team on the tracker

In: B. Smith, B. Cartwright, Boyd, Kris, Niu, Chan, Schuster
Out: Fonua-Blake, Smithies, Hutchison, Holmes, Garner, Bradley, Levi

Money where the mouth is - I can't see how Manly is going to let 800k sit on the pine.

Good luck Burbo pickers - you are gonna need it

He will play lock whilst Horsburgh is suspended

    After that, you can guess
(buy him and hope he stays at lock)

The money on the pine thing is dumb. If they've made a bad decision paying him that much that's entirely separate to making another bad decision by putting him in the team if it damages them.

Angus is getting shitloads from the Roosters, but if he doesn't improve the team *right now* he's sitting down. Billy Smith is ahead of the on field pecking order over Suaalii despite being behind on salary. See also Howarth at Storm. The amount they're being paid shouldn't factor into team selection at all.

Hey guys, just looking for some advice for a h2h player.

Been seeing heaps of gun teams you guys have made thus far, was just wondering if it's a bad idea to run a similar cookie cutter team for a h2h orientated player. I'm under the assumption majority of you lads are playing for overall points, but what advice in terms of the "cookie cutter" teams would you change for a h2h player eg. going with guns and cows where possible, starting with all the guys we reckon can make some solid cash early on etc.

    Any response appreciated!

I've never played H2H, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but you mostly want to start with a similar team to on overall player. Main difference is that you don't care about origin/bye planning and will go a bit easier on the trades at that time (especially if you are safely in the finals for your comp)
Main thing for H2H is having max trades left for H2H finals, where overall players often have just a couple of trades left at the end and limp home

They have shamed him by not letting him come to the opening season party in Vegas - he will be there Round 2 - What is dumb is thinking the Burbo is a good player and is holding Schuster out on form - I am happy with my decision

Yeah okay awesome cheers mate. Was thinking similar in regards to the first sentence, like alot of the players pick themselves I'm finding this year eg. Paps, Cleary, Piakura, Roosters backrowers etc. But you make a great point on the trades and origin planning side of things, I suppose just reading all of your guys' thoughts are kinda brainwashing me into a overall pts perspective with bye cover etc etc. but as always the insight on this forum is next level for real!

Don't actually mind McInnes - much like turbo in terms of not a lot of downside but decent upside. Saw some news elsewhere that McInnes has done a lot of training at hooker. Might expect him to play decent mins. Sort his mins to over 50 last year and your jaw probably drops.

EDIT: This all depends on whether Cam starts or not. I think if he's starting he becomes one of the better MID options. Main benefit is the cash in the bank over Haas. Murray is lovely but not too eager to run Murray + Tatola.
