If Lussick is named as an 80 min HOK then it’s goodbye to Hutch or just about any other of my 17-21! It doesn’t really matter where he or Smith are placed in my 1-17. I am actually considering Smith at 18 and Burbo at 19 as there will be some DPPs added next week. Surely Rd 1 is the safest round to start Smith if ever there is one.

I will be amazed if Smith isn't in your top 17 players for cost / points. Surely run a cheapie at 18 and see how they go.

I actually was talking about the FRF Fainu? Again I have no idea about the Tigers pecking order so merely guessing. For me it more comes down to whether I pick Moses or Fogarty,if it’s Moses I’ll need to consolidate elsewhere. I’ll put it to a vote actually

TU: Moses and up to 367k player
TD: Fogarty and up to 522k player

Team is like this minus the gaps

    Grant
    Haas Cotter Sitili
    Piakura Luki
    Cleary ?
    Strange Burbo
    Papy Walsh Kini

    Smithies
    Salmon
    Hutch
    Flanagan
    Hughes
    Mikaele
    Cotric
    ?
Forget FRF Fainu! As a Tigers fan I’m not planning on having any Tigers in my side. If Galvin or Fainu are named at 5/8 then they go straight to 21. If Kepoa is named at lock then he goes to 2nd centre. I don’t have much faith any of them get picked though.

I've seen quite a few teams with Kris at CTR, is that to save a trade for round 2?

Nah, I've hurt myself by slipping in the shower a few times - particularly with an unfamiliar dance partner.

These days as a married and elderly man I appreciate beds.

    Partly.

Partly because his last two games were single-digit and lowered his price.
Partly because he's fairly nailed in a variable backline, and under 400k.
Partly because his 2022 scores at centre price him around 560k

Mostly because I quite like watching him play and he helps a Burbo loop in R1.

Kris at centre usually means Burbo is at 18 and they have faith in Burbo to score at least 30! If Burbo has a bad game then Kris will mostly disappear on Tuesday afternoon.

Can the very reliable MTB rumour mill shed any light on the Weekes /Strange selection?

MTB's RAIDERS EARLY MAIL: After impressing in both trails, young gun Ethan Strange has won the race to partner Jamal Fogarty in the halves. James Schiller will fill in at centre for the suspended Seb Kris, while Nick Cotric has earned a recall to the side on the wing.

This is actually real though, sauce Elliot Whitehead

"I knew he was a good defender but in training he's showed he's got a lot of quality in attack as well so I'm looking forward to playing alongside him, hopefully he brings us that little bit of ball-playing in the middle. He's a fit kid, works hard in training with his fitness and his ball-playing skills are really good. Hopefully he brings that Isaah Yeo kind of role."

    Elliott Whitehead on Morgan Smithies

""I didn't really know Morgan before we signed him, he's really settled in well," he told Wide World of Sports.

"I knew he was a good defender but in training he's showed he's got a lot of quality in attack as well so I'm looking forward to playing alongside him, hopefully he brings us that little bit of ball-playing in the middle."

The second-rower added there was more to Smithies than he expected in training.

"I'd heard good things about his defence and he works hard, does all the little things and one percenters not many people see but like I said, he's showed a lot more than what I'd heard of him," he said.

"He's a fit kid, works hard in training with his fitness and his ball-playing skills are really good ... hopefully he brings that kind of Isaah Yeo kind of role.""

My plan for it is to have Burbo at 19, and if Strange gets named and Burbo scores under 30 I will move Strange up to 18 to take his score instead. Kris will stay.
