Oh yeah I was going off casualty ward too.

But lol just checked - he was suspended 4 weeks and he sat out rd27 and finals rd1.

So back round 3 - nice one casualty ward.

Hmm, the upside is still there. Makes the downside risk worse. Probably still take him, but we'll see if team lists throws up something better.

    Weekes or Strange?
    Salmon or Curran?
    Lussick or Hands?
    Hutch or Sexy?

Those are the main questions I want to see answered today

Leiataua is highly rated at the Warriors, but when researching, I got the impression that the consensus was that he's still a bit young. Will be keen if he does nab a spot though

Realistically if there is no clear audio of Leniu saying anything how can they give him a ban even though he basically admitted to it after the game.

He could possibly escape any punishment

He never denies saying it, just tries to excuse it by calling it banter. Has a few lessons to learn.

Didn't a Panthers player post the N word on twitter last year ? Because its ok if you're not white. Does anyone know what he's actually accused of saying ?
Regardless he's getting 4 weeks because the NRL has to be seen as doing something, proof or not. Montoya got 4 weeks for a homophobic slur.

I'm interested in Smithies. Does feel likely once Horse is back the minutes wont be there to enable a ~50 average though.

But as you say you do get three games before Horse returns so downside is probably low in the short term and can assess minutes in rd4. Might only make 50k or 60k but not the end of the world if you get three solid weeks out of him. The Ricky factor is always a worry though, could go full Tapine on him for no apparent reason?

Probably safer than Lolo who I currently have...

I can't see him getting more than 50 mins once Horse is back. Don't know if his PPM will be that great either.

Ricky has always loved cheap Pommies. He's been looking for another Bateman since.... Bateman. From what I've seen of Smithies, he's exceptional in defence, will run the ball back hard and has a huge motor. I believe Stuart has him tagged for the 13 and Horse was always going back to the middle bench interchange. He'll be a big minute lock eventually once the heat goes away. 60+ minutes. 55 pt average.

He was awesome against my Tigers, but then again isn’t everyone? We actually made Flanno look playable in your 17! Excluding JDB, for some reason he pretty much sucked!

I can't see Berry being dropped...he's the incumbant & played great in the 2nd try & scored a good try...it's not as if the warriors had a poor 2023 season where in 2024 they need to change up the team.
For fantasy though a 300k dpp ctr would be great....if Strange misses out an easy upgrade.

I thought maybe because their is only one orange coloured fruit, but then we have the questionable Persimmon and others. It really ranks at #3 as another disaster of a creation.

Imagine if when asked, "do you want an orange mate ?"
The reply "well which one?" To which the person offering an orange has to then show the 5 or 6 orange coloured fruits on offer because he said 'orange'

Or "how about a yellow ?"  "Wtf, u mean a banana ?" "How effing dare you mention those!"

No wonder no one asks me for Nrl fantasy advice.

The alternative question is why the colour yellow isn't called banana

As a side note, botanically speaking a banana is a berry

Agree with this, Ali does/did look very good though.

Can imagine he's getting a spot if someone gets injured

Yep, orange the fruit came before orange the colour. Which colour would "banana" be?

    A. Green
    B. Yellowy green
    C. Yellow
    D. Yellow with brown

    I'm getting deja vu

i do think it's very close berry vs leiataua but berry is the safe pick does his job makes his tackles rarely misses & low error rate whereas leiataua is more prone to a silly error but he's probably more talented than berry but he needs to learn his craft

Yeah the colour orange is named after the fruit orange. My guess is many centuries ago someone decided they needed a word to better describe the colour between yellow and red and looked at a tree.

When you think about it there are literally infinite colours and which ones are commonly used or not is pretty arbitrary. Like why orange, whereas light blue and dark blue do not have unique names? Potentially they do in other languages
