Really depends on squad make up, 752 points in itself is really good, let alone doing that with 16 players essentially? Spending trades now to get the cash cows now is generally the way to play, just have to find that right balance between banking a weekly trade, and going all out

TLDR: Making trades now is good as you don't know what the end of the season will hold.

    Cheers, current team is:

    Grant
    Hopgood, haas, Murray,
    Wong, Luki
    Cleary, flanno
    Arthurs, Bturbo
    Rapana, cotric, j gagai

Cotter, tatola, piakura, X Willison (DNP this week)
    Salmon, strange, Kini Chan

Part of me wants to swap tatola for Terrell May (unless his price goes up too much)
I’m guessing the price changes after round 1 happen before trading is allowed?

Except it’s not mate you can believe what you wanna believe though. I have a good source where I get some info from.

NBA teams will increase the minutes and role of a player they're looking to trade, but you can afford to do that when there are 82 games compared to 24 and you're trying to get inflated value back.

Roosters purposely trying to keep May's value down means other teams can still swoop in and bid on him for cheaper too if they see he's being under-utilised, or at least make Roosters pay more to outbid them.. so they're really shooting themselves in the foot by underplaying him all that time and either losing him to a rival for unders or paying up anyway.

Yeah May will be ~520k after lockout, Tatola ~480k.

Looks good down to Cotric and Jagai. Just ones to keep an eye on with Kris for Raiders and Munro or whoever at Rabbits that could push them out.

I'd probably try to move Willison to a cashcow soon. Ben Turbo's the only one I'm really looking at, but you've got him already. McIntyre kinda tempting, but be fucked if I wanna deal with Payten's forward rotations.

Ok, this keeps getting weirder, in the top 100 teams, only 5!!! have 0 players that didn't play for their team this week (and even they aren't well constructed, bench hookers etc in their team).

You know how we thought the number of teams seemed really high to start the season, I have a suspicion that someone has created an autofill bot and has thousands of teams.

Sounds like a lot of work for a long season of going through the best ones to try to win $2k. I know people will waste their time cheating on online games for no reward, so it's definitely possible there are people trying it.

Hasn’t Terrell May already had a chat to the dogs? And didn’t he finish last year like a shower of shit?

I think the cat may be out of the bag 😉

Nah, skip the conspiracy theories. A script to create autofill teams would be annoying to write, but like 4-5 hours annoying.

How many of us have spent 4 hours thinking about R1 teamlists?

Detecting those teams would be substantially harder. The best test will be to see 'dead' teams of low/nonreactive trade counts around Origin.

Happy with that for my first season.
Not sure if I should or even need to make trades - better to try and use some now to pick up some early risers? Or save em for later in the season?

You should be very happy with that mate! I'm normally a trade saver and bye planner, so normally I'd hold off trading early until I see a few Rounds of minutes/rotations.

But this year I feel like if you are already ahead of most, which you are, it would be wise to keep ahead of the pack. They will be max trading just to get their head above water, so in a month or two's time most will have the same amount of trades left anyway.

Willing to bet that if you were able to see the email addresses attached to these teams, it would stick out like dog balls which ones they are.

Considering the likelihood of serious autofill bot cheating going on, I will treat the FOG as a genuine gauge of success this round. Happy to be just 57 points off 2nd place.
