Opting to bring in Liddle instead of Termaynator last week could be a season defining move.

Jack Goweiskivic not good for Finefuk on the bench either.

This is a straight up disaster.

What about this name from the Eels: Blaize Talagi, love it. I still own Kini, so I guess ill just keep him until Campbell is back. Looking forward to his 19 this weekend

Just on names, maybe I’ve somehow missed it the last couple weeks, but Mavrik Geyer is Mark Geyer’s kid right? because CTE is the only explanation I can come up with for why a) you would give your kid a douchey name like ‘Maverick’ in the first place and then follow that up by b) spelling it like a preschooler in the ‘spelling it how it sounds’ stage of learning how to write.

I think he might have got HIAd post mortem? The blurb says sidelined rather than dropped and he looked pretty wobbly on the weekend

I'd say HIA related. Flanno was pretty high on him pre season.

Yeah wtf, are the Raiders just going by casualty ward too?

Did he actually get 5 weeks or something?

seems like the NRL casualty ward was right listing him as back in round 4? Very confusing - found this in another nrl.com article:

"Found guilty by the NRL judiciary of a Grade One Shoulder Charge in Round 26, the Raiders firebrand still has two weeks suspension to serve in the opening rounds of 2024 after watching his side bow out in last year's elimination finals."

I’m thinking of cutting my losses. Liddle in for 33 points and 35k price rise. Drop him this week not playing for Lussick.

Wong and Liddle to Terrell and Lussick. 12 and 13 BEs and no bench hooker are too hard to pass.

Have Galvin and can give Fine another week.

Marschke is an interesting alternative to Finefuiaki if we find out its a longer term thing.

We actually do end up with quite a few cheapies named this round:

Kini gets at least another round at fullback for the Titans

Marschke @230k, starting hooker for the Drags, only in for injury and why has Muhleisen been the bench hooker in the first 2 rounds?

Finefuiaki @293k, starting backrower for the Cows, but Gosiewski on the bench

Galvin obviously, but also Faataape @230k getting another go for the Tigs at centre, only scoring 15 though, so you'd be desperate to go there

Talagi, not in the system but presumably @230k starting centre for Parra, looked very raw in preseason and only in there for Simonsson's injury

Pre-season favourite Bradley @250k for the Storm - bench edge only in for injury so not compelling at all

Trading Liddle imo is a mistake.

Good bench for Tapine. Could get real cheap by next week.

Horse might ruin that party though.

I can’t see a world where Whitehead starts ahead of Hosking immediately upon his return, but Horse starting over Smithies I certainly can. Ricky does Ricky things but surely not so dramatically change two players in a team that has started so well. Whitehead surely gets named on the bench so buying Hosking this week in Fantasy seems a bit brave. The question you have to ask is will he make another 100k with Whitehead on the bench? In SC or DT he is your first trade in as prices rise after this weekend and he’ll be making money for the next three weeks simply by taking the field. I know in my team a  Hosking trade in is not in my top two must do’s this week.

    Umm, yeah-nah.
Pimple is the Raiders captain. He was always gonna walk straight back into the starting Edge role.
Hosking may be a gun, but he's just joined the Raiders and has obviously been signed to replace Whitehead in 2025.
Ricky, as much as he's a mad-lad when it comes to forwards minutes and rotations, is above all really loyal. Look at how much he pushed to allow Croker to retire on his own terms and break the magic 300 game mark.
