Brendan Piakura has limped out of Broncos training putting him in doubt for Friday's game against the Cowboys. Jaiyden Hunt jumped in for Piakura. Corey Oates also spent some time training in the backrow and could be in the 17.

Now I'm getting concerned...

Hoping Piakura is only one week, but in a roundabout way it means trades this week don’t have to be positionally dependant for me. Now I don’t need two WFB as I’m not going to have more than 15 players anyway so I can just bring in the two dudes I want most of all… not just to plug in a specific positional hole.

We can call this a bye week right where only your starting 13 count.......right?

Shame I have to bring in a WFB again this week or it might actually be fun to trade. On a related note, we really need to up the number of players you get in a squad by 1-2. 21 is not enough to cover for a rotating bye and injuries - especially with the increased level of care for HIAs and the new stand down period (which I think is a good thing, don't attack me).

Personally I am leaning to Koroisau. Just in everything for the Tigers at the moment. His score last week underrated his involvement. Missed a try dropping the ball over the line and was playing through gastro, and could have had some extra minutes to get a couple more goalkicking points if nothing else.

If Piakura is a confirmed out that may tip the "selling Cleary" scales for me

Carrigan or Turbo (vs Dragons, sorry Rob) for me. One should be solid, the other a boom/bust play.

EDIT Fun fact: Turbo hasn't played the Dragons since 2019, when he scored an even 100.

Probably about 3 or 4, fix some injuries and swap a couple duds so the trades generate some cash.

Four probably. I'm already treating this and next week's trades as four linked moves, although some other shit will probably crop up in between them.

Not excited by the WFBs? A few good options imo. Campbell was a lock for me this week, but Gutho is pretty tempting now. I don't have any CTR cover either though, so I'm thinking a DPP is probably a good idea. Cobbo or Kiraz could be good fill-ins this week and then shift to CTR.

Everyone knew the 21 man squads would be a problem in 2018 when it was introduced. Halfway through the season a lot of people said they wouldn't play the next year unless it was fixed. I quit for 4 years Now with byes every week and they still haven't changed it.

Would be nice if they opened the 3 trade window this week.

1. Hughes vs Levi (Papy loop)
2. Flano vs Strange (Cleary loop)
with a bench of Smithies, Salmon, McIntyre.

Can do this by trading out Chan. With both Blore and NAS now in the Storm options to play significant time on the EDG, not sure that Chan starts, and if he does, may get limited minutes.
