Agreed. He's a low 40's guy by the looks. He's not going to play 80 with Hors back and Whitehead in the team.. Hosking's is going too well at the moment to not play big mins so Rick loves Whitehead too much to leave him out altogether, so he will use him in the middle.
Not sure where Hosking gets big minutes with lots of other players in need of minutes ahead of him.
Smithies 50-60
Tapine 50
BigPap 40
Horse 60
Whitehead 60 (Captain returning from injury, not getting 30 minutes each week)
Young 80
Guler averaged 43 minutes off the bench last season, with Horse getting huge minutes at lock.
Hosking may get a 20-30 minute cameo if lucky.

Everyone knew the 21 man squads would be a problem in 2018 when it was introduced. Halfway through the season a lot of people said they wouldn't play the next year unless it was fixed. I quit for 4 years Now with byes every week and they still haven't changed it.
Would be nice if they opened the 3 trade window this week.
Everyone had massive problems fielding a team in the last few rounds of last year when injuries hit combined with players getting a rest before finals.
It was 120% predictable that something like that would occur this year, if not as early as round 4, then certainly in the back part of the year
If they wanted to help out by giving more trades/squad space they had plenty of time to do it. Increasing squad sizes would be a fairly large coding effort, but if they wanted to help out with more trades they could have done so very easily, so it has to be a conscious decision to run like this and I wouldn't expect them to back out now
Plus the backlash they received last time they gave out freebie trades has probably scared them off doing so again.

yes. so we agree smithies is a 50-60 min guy.. lol
post really has nothing to do with hosking other than that he will almost certainly be in their team and whitehead probably plays some lock

They are better when Hosking plays big minutes. It's clear to see after a few weeks but hey Ricky is stupid

Given he was given 60 minutes as recently as 4 days ago, it seems strange to suggest the return of 1 player is going to reduce him to such a bit part player.

With the Piakura news, assuming its a 1 week thing, would rather hold Piakura and trade Chan.

Matt missed the vital piece of relevant info in that he does not have Hosking in his team. If he did, he plays 80 each and every week.

Their captain who plays the same position, returning from injury played 34 minutes, he isn't doing that every week, so 2 players returning, including the one that plays his position and a 60-70 minute MID beast, who was the Raiders best last season. No room for Whitehead in that MID rotation, and he plays decent minutes.Milchcow wrote:

He was great at Panthers too, but ended up behind all of Sorenson, Martin and Garner was getting a bench spot ahead of him as well.Loomer wrote:

I suppose from previous posts it depends if you own him or not. Although I don't own him and 60 minutes seems likely to me. Whitehead 20 at the start at 2RF, 15-20 at the end at lock. Horse (decent chunk of minutes) and whichever other prop they have on the bench (probably Saulo or Mariota rather than Guler, small minutes) to split with Tap and Pap. Starling to split with Levi.
Negative of Hosking would be that he'd be the first to move to centre with any backline injury, but he'll probably find a way to score there too.
tl;dr
Tapine 50
Levi 55
Papalii 40
Whitehead 35
Young 80
Smithies 65
Starling 25
Hosking 60
Hors 50
Saulo 20

They have a 60-80 minute lock and a 60-70 minute lock in the team. No room for Whitehead at lock.

Hors is a prop. He was a lock last year, but a prop the year before and a prop now. They paid a big transfer fee for an actual lock

Not excited by the WFBs? A few good options imo. Campbell was a lock for me this week, but Gutho is pretty tempting now. I don't have any CTR cover either though, so I'm thinking a DPP is probably a good idea. Cobbo or Kiraz could be good fill-ins this week and then shift to CTR.

Not overly, I have Teddy and Pappy. Usually hate spending up on WFBs. Will be getting Campbell or a Turbo/Ponga for max fun. Cobbo/Kiraz are a good shout though with my terrible centres.
Exactly. I absolutely detest everything about Supercoach, but the wife makes me play in her work comp every year. I look at it for about 2 mins every week but I do quite like the boost trade option they have. You get about 5 of them and on any week throughout the year you can activate it to make an addition third trade, would not be a bad idea for regular Fantasy. Point being there are a lot of minor changes that could be made to improve the game but it seems they just don't care to put in the effort for a better product.

Yeah giving out more trades again would suck, but it isn't unprecedented for them to do something when mass carnage strikes. I wouldn't mind being able to use 3 trades this week, but will limp by with 2 and spend the Cleary cash next week.

When is the last time we saw a starting edge captain play 35 minutes every week? Neverrhinoceroo wrote:
