I’m massively out of the loop and haven’t seen this Talagi kid play.

I’m ok if he’s going to plod some 15-20s with an occasional try like Strange. More concerned with job security but who else have Parra got? Matto? Bring back Sterlo - they could use the last hair that fell from his beautiful blond mullet in the old Parra Stadium showers in 1991 and some Jurassic Park style science, probably? Jake Arthur returns?

Think that last one is fairly unlikely

Looks like I'll end up doing something like Moses + Levi to Carrigan + Finefeuiaki

Am I right saying Broncs captains run will be today, so we'll know if Carrigan gets through that alright before the game tonight?

Nothing to indicate that he won't, just get a bit jumpy captaining trade ins.

He looked good in the Manly game last week. Lots of effort and steamrolled Turbo for a try. Trying to decide between him and a gun this week

Selling Cleary. Had my worst ever start to a season so it really has to be done, I simply can't have that much money potentially on my bench for 3 weeks. If he comes back next week there that will be on me, and I will whinge and moan on this board everytime he gets a good score until I get him back.

Similar.  If Wong plays, I'll have to keep meaning I have to trade someone else and therefore cant afford Carrigan.  Or trade Cleary.

RE: Talagi - I'm not looking for a cash cow this week but Talagi feels a bit like forcing it. Last Monday he hadn't even been mentioned as next man up/one to watch and now he is the second most popular trade in. I know CTR eligible playing in the half and all that but there will always be another cow. This time next week we will probably be talking about Iro or Geyer or Schiller after they put up a 40

RE: Gun vs Cow - Cash gen is still going to be very important this year, despite everyone currently being flush with cash due to Cleary and Haas injuries. In the near future we will need to be able to upgrade the Hutchison/Salmon/Burbo's of the world so I'm leaning towards Campbell over Turbo. Leaves plenty of cash but also plenty of players needing to be upgraded while Campbell should make 150-200k and close the gap on a falling gun

RE: KPP - Has the role I want and looks a likely fantasy scorer. Looks to have jumped Lucas with Friz moving to middle to accomodate both on the field. If my team wasn't imploding he would probably be an in for me this week and it's very likely I still grab him next week. Basically plays like Kikau but with a defensive work rate so can see him averaging high 40s as long as he starts

RE: Cleary - Holding makes sense for my team at least for this week. Can't spend his cash in the short term(nearly 450k in the bank without trading Cleary) so preferring to get rid of the likes of Moses, Piakura, Cotric and Wong first. Chan and Burbo may also be priority outs ahead of Cleary for me

Don’t think anyone will be buying Iro on a bye next week and Nikora back R6 to shift Talakai back to CTR

I’ve changed my mind and holding Cleary. Going to take a punt on Blaize and wait a week on KPP. I’ve decided not to wait until final team list tonight. My trades as follows:

    Out: Piakura, Wong
    In: Talagi, Carrigan

I think it’s worth the risk on Talagi and Carrigan gives me decent captains choice next round(even though Ponga might be a decent shout against St. George). I’ve got $12k remaining and I don’t believe I could afford Carrigan next round.

Captain trade ins? Tough call really. You’d think Patty would be good for 65-70. Does McInnes play around 70 minutes, but his current ppm would still have him under 60 points. I also have Hynes, who after his first score of 50, scored 77 the following round. Is there to be an immediate repeat of history? I’ll probably remain indecisive on this until about ten minutes to kickoff.

Think he’s only got 5 weeks left before Luki is back and if you take out the tries I think he’s a 32-35 point player. I’d say this is the last week of you want to jump on.

Currently have the same thinking on Campbell vs Turbo, however I can vividly picture Campbell's 26 points this week.

Can be easily swayed on this one haha

Asi is really the only threat but named FB in cup. Matterson probably needed in forwards with Carty injury

    What would hurt more?

    1. Buying Campbell for a score of 29 while Turbo scores 84
    2. Buying Turbo for a score of 29 while Campbell scores 56
