In saying that id prefer Brown if it meant not playing Strange in the halves for two weeks

I don't think Brown is for me, unless Moses is out the whole season. Too many variables, my brain can't compute

I’d probably put Brown as luxury trade down the line, still has mid 50s season averages

To be fair at this rate later in the seasoncould probably save 200k down the track downgrading Brown to DCE the way DCE is going

Think I’ve decided to trade Piakura,he’s easy enough to trade back in at his lowish price if need be so here’s how my team stands at the moment

    Sitili to Guth
    Piakura to KPP

    Grant
    Cotter Cheese May
    KPP Smithies
    Flanagan Hutch
    Strange Burbo
    Papy Turbo Teddy

    Guth
    Salmon
    Levi
    Galvin

    Hughes
    Talau
    Cleary
    Chan

Will wait another week to be convinced on Talagi, thoughts on my team guys?

At worst case brown should be an easy jump to Hynes at some point.

Personally reckon you've got bigger fires to put out than trading Sitili, who should more or less hold value.

The more I think about it with how shit cash cows have been the more I’m tempted to fade both Hynes and Cleary for cheaper halves like SJ who are capable of 60+ (in addition to DBrown/Fogarty who I have). Captaincy reliability is probably the big thing to factor

Means you can probably upgrade guys like Salmon/Hutch quicker approaching bye to falling 50+ scorers like Crichton/Sorensen/Nikora

Agree that the easier path to team value looking like catching mid rangers with value, than the bottom dollar cows that are struggling, and that you dont necessarily want to be playing in your 17 each week.

I'm living in a Fantasy land where I can collect halves and have Cleary and Hynes (who are currently in my team), plus SJ, Brown and Fog. Issue is it'd need to happen asap to capitalise on their current prices. Won't be financially possible, but one can dream.

I'm thinking that over two weeks and four trades it'd be possible to pick up maybe Brown and one of the other two... but not sure at what expense to the rest of my team.

In my case, if I go through with my intended trades, I only have 17 green dots, so Strange is being played regardless. So it comes down to BE for me. Gutho this week, Brown next week.

Also Strange, Talagi and Flano / Hutch? If so it seems like overkill.

Only playing Strange and Talagi at CTR, though, and I'd assume Hutch would probably be one of the ones to upgrade in a fortnight or so.

Like I say, might just be a wild fantasy, but they're in my sights if I can somehow manage it.

I don't want to be this guy, but some serious rain forecast on Thursday and Friday and into Saturday too.

I liked Ponga this week, but the sketchiness of a WFB captain, plus the intended weather forecast... I think I'd go with Cook. I'm personally going with Grant in the same scenario. But my takes are usually terrible so Ponga is probably the pick. Wink

Might save non owners from a Teddy masterclass vs Bulldogs, with his short studs in.

Thinking of two left field trades. Might impact getting Hynes next week but not going get anywhere bringing in two from the small pool everyone is targeting

Think you need one of them for the set and forget captaincy but the lack of cash generation means having both early isn't really viable.

Last year I had both from RD7 whilst having a relatively strong 17. I'd say that's impossible this year.

As an owner of both, I can certainly vouch for this.

I think like your team tracker a CTR downgrade might be the best way to it if you’ve got a mid range expensive CTR. E.g. Kiraz to Simonsson should free up 180-200k once Simonsson drops in price for fairly similar scoring which would assist a 600k-ish player to Cleary/Hynes
