Scored a 748 this round. Was enough to take me up from 35K to 29K. Baby steps I guess. This weeks conundrum will be if I spend the Cleary money to just get Hynes or use it over the next couple of weeks to spread across the team to try and rid some of the real shittos I'm stuck with in the 17.

Sitili a definite trade this week and probably Rapana if that knee is bad.
Apart from that I think I can stomach the rest of them.

Same, same....held firm at just under 20k after two pretty comically bad rounds.
Unfortunately I blew my Cleary money on lollies and fizzy drinks this round trying to be too clever avoiding playing Hughes (when has a last minute change ever worked?) so I'm going to have to seriously look at the money I've got invested at WFB and make a decision.

Yeah you’d assume the 11 days takes him to the 17th and his game in R7 isnt till the 20th

I started at striker in my juniors as I was generally the fastest player on the field, then moved to CB for the same reason after a few years.
Played CB all through my youth until our local clubs merged, ended up on the outer due to the merger, age difference seperated me from the majority of my team mates and ended up in a team with mostly player from the other club. So I played all over the field coming of the bench.
Started playing again just over 10 years ago, and spent most of my time at CB. I do get a cameo at striker sometimes, when the team is not dealing with injuries. I'm the oldest player on the team, so CB is the easiest position using footy smarts, reading the game, and managing workload.

Cheers gents. His cash gen ciaod, and would need to be a def 40 mins guy now to be worth holding, but not urgent with the bye.
Garrick and Teddy were Cat 3 and 1 respectively ?

Garrick was Cat 1 too I think?
Regardless even a failed Cat 2 is going to be 11 days out the majority of the time (exemptions are rare)

I'm now mainly playing indoor (don't miss the away games on a rainy Friday night when only 8 players turn up ) but still have a run with local over 35s/45's now and then. I was also pretty quick which made playing CB a lot of fun when I started there (and again in the 45's) as you could let the striker think they were past you and then go 'surprise' when you snuck in to steal it. I don't do that trick anymore , very much in the 'close down the space' mode. Still get an occasional crack at set pieces due to being left footed.

I play LB or RB now these days, as I'm one of the oldest in the team (even for 35s) and my body just can't handle too much so I rarely play 90 minutes
We got a 2-1 win on the weekend so promising start to the season

Im easily the old boy in our team. Captain of the reserves so it’s full off 18-25 year olds.
Always play 90 minutes in more of an organising sweeper role. Not too strenuous

Well done lads, keep playing as long as you can. Great fun and, in my opinion, it's one of the best things you can do for your mental health. It's hard to think about anything else when you're playing and it also provides a very welcome social outlet.

I was playing indoor until COVID hit. Mostly a goalkeeper over the years but was in a mixed team and mostly with people who never really played before, so played less and less keeper as I went on as seemed a waste of my skills being stuck in the goals. Started as a winger when I was a kid, then moved to CB after a couple years then back to keeper. Always a pretty active keeper and was always communicating with my backs to organise defense. Played at rep level in my early teens until my family moved states. I do miss outdoor, but my fitness is in the bin these days, and had some knee issues from playing indoor, so not sure how I'd go these days.

The keeper in one of my indoor teams is 63!!! Always big demand for keepers, most of them play in multiple teams & get dragged into extra games all the time. I imagine if you wanted to give it a go again there would be plenty of demand.
