Out of curiosity, did anyone watch 100% Footy on Monday night? And apologies if this has been brought up previously, but Gus was saying how TLT means nothing to coaches and that teams are picked a few hours before kick off on the day of the match.

Obviously this doesn't seem to apply to most clubs, but when the Dogs are naming guys in their starting side that broke their hand the week before, probably a decent bet that Doggies team lists, at least, mean very little on a Tuesday.

Or he could go to the Eels, as a halfback. Can't be worse than the other options they have.

BA is coach and can do as he pleases. Haven't seen much support from any of the ex footballers over the Talagi dropping.

Gives me relief to know i couldnt get him back this week even if i wanted. With Taylan on bye, galvin suspended, i actually need a ctr or wfb with my second trade lol (strange filling in for galvin, and burbo filling in for strange lol)

Gotta admit, I was too solely focused on how shit my new recruit Gutho was going last week to notice anyone else on the field, but I'm also not quite understanding the Sivo dropping either.

Like I say, I didn't pay attention to everything in the game, but if one of the most damaging wingers in the game, who scored two tries in the match (every single one of the 8 points that Parramatta scored last week) is the biggest problem in the team in your mind, then I'm not quite sure we're reading from the same leaflet.

I remember Sivo was ambling about the field. I thought he must have been injured tbh. But he's named in NSW CUP this week..

Was not surprised to see Asi come in for Talagi at all but not putting Talagi in at CTR is very annoying.. I mean Morgan Harper c'mon 👎

Stuff like this and the poor folk that traded out Smithies has me leaning towards the absolutely unthinkable this week, which is holding a trade.

I think I decided I don't want to trade out Levi with his BE against the Titans yet, so I settled on Hutch, briefly, thinking he'll just get pummelled this week against the Storm. But what if he doesn't? He's a green dot with a BE below his 2024 average (and well below his career average at halfback) so I'm thinking of holding this week, wait for an obvious trade out next week rather than force a trade this week.

Whether it plays out this way or not, I have serious doubts.

Someone talk me off this Cleary to Hynes ledge so that I have a captain and before I inevitably drop him before Origin anyway

The Pascoe Fiasco wrote:This Iro conundrum is terrifying me. Starting with Galvin worked a treat, however the Kini, Bradley, Chan, Talagi trades haven’t. Excluding Cleary and Galvin my 16-21 are pretty ordinary so I can’t really afford another flop. I can use either a FB or a centre so still have no idea if Iro or Chevy is the go. Anyone got their reserve grade stats for comparison? I was considering Campbell, but at twice the price there appears no value anymore.

Campbell is priced at about 34 why no value? I see 7-8 points value there.

On another note anymore news on Piakura injury

I didn't watch it but it makes sense that coaches wouldn't care.

I mean by this point most teams have their team pretty much set so its only a few positions here and there. And at certain times eg players making a first grade debut, they'll know in advance so that family etc can make arrangements to see it and you'll hear about presentations etc at training.

When positions are genuinely in doubt its often due to injury in which case TLT is always just going to be a best guess as to someone's fitness.

But for form related changes, why would a coach feel the need to stick to whatever team he picks 4 days before the game. If some guy trains the house down on Wednesday and Thursday, does he have to get told its too late to make his way into the team and he has to wait until next week.

At least we don't have Monday night football anymore when coaches would always just trot out the team that just played when naming a team the next day, which was always going to be a guess at best

True, but it's not like Taafe exactly demands a spot so if he does alright he could hold it. The point would be less what position he's playing and more his price anyway. Would be hoping for a bounceback and hopefully getting a keeper centre for 450k.

You're not getting Panthers Scritt at a discount. He's losing value for a reason

He was also well contained by Charlie Staines when they played the Tigers. Whatever the cause, he's not playing at his best
