do you guys have trouble with the H2H in regards to seeing your oppositions team?

i think it happens when they make trades but those trades for that week don't show up until that player takes the field?

for example my opposition has all but one player to play. instead of that players name it shows "no player selected" so i'm assuming that player will show up tonight when he takes the field?

ok so Merrin has to go.

5 weeks in and he is averaging 43.
Hurts me trading keepers, but I bought him in thinking he would be playing a bigger role, more minutes. I mean they forked out 800k/year for him, they could have bought any one of dozens of cheaper players to fill the same role he is.

    Time to trade rage.

Edit: I suppose trading keepers doesn't count if they arn't shaping up to be keepers?

Who you thinking of trading to?

Now that im mostly happy with my team ive added a new criteria when making trades. Basically that they must play a role in Bye coverage. Hopefully that will reduce the need to make trade going into those rounds.

Im also considering giving merrin the flick. Considering Ma'u or Soliola for a bit of POD.

Seeing Cartwright's score is a slap in the face given I was trading out Wade Graham all the way up to lockout then switched it and got rid of Carty

I was in same boat, held steady and traded out Graham. Even after the score I'm still considering trading Cartwright out, which is prob crazy but with more reliable scorers like fensom about to bottom out the question begs

I agree. I looked at this years stats, even though he's only played in shorts stints, he's played 98 minutes for a total of 50 points.
Not a great ppm for a forward.

I had three people I was looking at flicking last week. DCE, Garvey, Cartwright and Carter.

    Went DCE to Sezer

    Garvey to Parcel

Will be cheering with my choices when Sezer scores 45+.

2 questions what is a good outcome for the bye weeks? i.e. how many players taking the field?
Also, what rounds will origin players miss / are likely to miss? I guess the later is player dependent aye.

The only origin player I have currently is Woods though, so what games other than his teams bye weeks should I expect him to be unavailable?

Sorry for the rookie questions Smile but it does come from a rookie if that makes it any better Wink

In previous seasons, you'd aim for minimum of 14 for the 3 big bye rounds (rounds 12, 15, 18 this year), and a full 17 playing for any smaller rounds

This year the way the byes work you'll be doing very well to get that many.  Hard to say what will happen, but plenty of teams near the top have less than 10 guys available for rd12 (the first big bye round) at the moment.  A lot of thse teams will have very good teams for rounds 15+18 though. The problem is that trading to improve round 12 will hurt your subsequent bye rounds.
So its weighing up how valuable the trades are vs how many extra points you will get for swapping people in and out around bye time.

Origin players will miss rounds 12, 15, 18, plus any byes.

Tigers have a byes in rounds  15 and 19.
    So Woods will miss 12, 15, 18, 19.
And in Rounds 13 and 16 he'll be backing up from origin and may not score as normal.

My vague plan is to trade Woods out just before origin, possibly for Tim Mannah. Mannah just had an injury effected 5, so his price should drop to something nice and cheap, and as long as he is fit and available should provide reasonable bye round scores (Parra are the only team to play all 3 big bye rounds)

I had him over the origin period and from experience I would say not to bring him in

Curse update: So this week I traded BLaw (30) for KEvans (39) and Dugan (30) for Maubbs (64).

I also started JTurbo and captained Garvey. Is it 100% he's not starting and Lichaa is back?

    Interesting Fact:
I just noticed that Brooks is currently not in the top 5 "Missed Tacklers"
Even so Maloney stays the number 1

Yeah it would either be somebody bye friendly like Ma'u, Fensom, Tolman; or the upgrade to a supergun like Fifita

Yeah it sucks. Thanks for the sympathy. I finally had a team I like and Jturbo drops out. Anyone know what his injury is and how long?

Now I gotta trade Garvey and ???

Think I was in the top 100 and looking to generate cash this time last year.

If you've got a strong 17 (scoring 800-900) I'd be looking to jump on any cows. Gonna be tough to rein in the top 10-50, but all it takes is a couple of injuries to jump up the ranks quickly (ala ET last season). So, if you're within a couple of 100 points of first, I wouldn't be giving up just yet.
