Would you bring in RTS or crocker?

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 21
Also, I've got some rookie questions about fantasy scoring:
Am I right in thinking that if Cameron Smith rolls the ball out of dummy half and the guy he was supposed to be passing the ball to can't handle it, the error goes to the receiver?
If someone tries to make a tackle in the in-goal (at the defensive end) but the attacker ends up scoring, does that count as a MT?
Using Lolohea-RTS try as an example, what counts as a TB? To me Lolohea looked like he beat about 3 or 4 guys but only gets credited with 1 TB. Does it not count as a TB if you step the defender so well he doesn't lay a finger on you?
Apologies for the rookie questions, I suppose there is some rule book I can look at but thought asking here may be easier. Cheers.

Yeah absolutely. I'm not thinking of trading him anytime soon. I'm just wondering if I should have him in mind as a guy that might play during the bye weeks (even once Linnet is back).

Well it's a fair chance Coote will go to 5/8 during the bye rounds so I'd say Bowen might get some game time then. Ray Thompson's still injured and I don't think they'll want to field two reserve grade halves even if it's just for two games so they'll put some experience in the halves and they'll either chuck Matt Wright or Javid Bowen at the back.

Thanks mate, and does Bowen have to start 4 games at C to get DPP?

yes, unfortunately. Try scorer also gets a TB even though he hasn't actually broken free of the tackle. stupid ruling
depends if the stats guys have the person in their team or not, lol. seriously, sometimes a TB is awarded for stepping around a defended without getting a hand laid on them. If there was an attempted tackle then definitely yes

Yes it's part of some weird rule in Fantasy where once the season starts if a player's named in a position they don't have listed they still have to play 4 games there but if they're named in a different position in Round 1 they'll get DPP status.

Anybody seriously considering Ryan James?? DPP, Non Origin and getting increased mins of late. He seems to have cleaned up his error rate and penalties conceded. Playing in the middle not on the edge anymore.

I am but you have to take a few facts into account. He's scored 3 tries which honestly I think he can grab a few more the way he's playing but they have inflated his scores by quite a bit. The second is on Friday he got a 68 without a try but he also played 65 minutes which he might not have got if it wasn't for the fact Shillington pulled out literally minutes before the match began.
His one score playing 53 minutes without a try was 33. I still think he might be a great buy but I want to see what his scores are like when he's playing his usual minutes.

Wouldn't guarantee that James is non-Origin. He was in and around the squad last year and he's been much better this.

Thanks, I agree he is def worth keeping an eye on. I think he played over 60 mins in Round 4 when Shillington was in the team. He scored a try that week also but if he was to remain a 60min+ player he would be worth putting in I think.

My gamble on an eventual Stanley injury paid. Downgraded Aubs for Holland to bring in JDB last week.
Now Holland just needs to get named

Looking at PatMat this week: scored 29, new BE of 20, should take the +$122K and run.
A decent cow option on TLT would be nice. Would love to also ditch Evans and shoot for Teddy, even if that's buying high.

Im holding, Im hoping that he'll at the very least keep his price through to rd 12. Knights and Storm seemed to be going away from him last week so he wasn't getting that much action in attack or defense.

Just realised Feeney and Green come in real handy and can do 1 trade Merrin>SJ or any other half under 511k
