Wasn’t there some doubt around Friz, Gagai and Best this week?mattnz wrote:

Can field 17 without trades. Would mean I'd be carrying Papy, Cleary, possibly Hynes. and no Weekes or Koula, and C of Grant

Holding Cleary seems silly. Hynes I'll be holding even if he's out this week, and Papy I sold last week, but can see why you might hold

Got to wonder if Salmon makes the starting side next week, probably a 20 minute cameo off the bench? If that

Got about 10 players on shortlist for Bateman trade. Instead of thumbs up thumbs down, maybe need a left index up vs right middle finger down
Could also grab Lemu like I did last week if he gets the starting spot again this week

Am tempted just to use 1 to buy a captain.

Hynes and Angus look certainties for Origin, thus both look like sells (especially if Hynes out this week too as he has Penrith next week). Rd 16 is a nightmare so this week i’s likely Hynes (instead of SJ to Aitken.Camo123 wrote:

These Angus/Hynes Origin threats are really clouding my bye planning but may look to just have strong 18-19 with barely any shittos across byes rather than some outright guns
Also keep forgetting about Plath and others DPP and realising I may not need specific position (HLF)

I don't think he'll start over a fully fit Preston or Kikau
His best chance at being useful in Fantasy is decent minutes at lock

With so few trades remaining, I wont be trading out the first choice captaincy option, or any other players that are in the elite scoring tier. Lots of guys you can have for some decent scoring, but its the top end scores that make a difference to your rank each week. Looking to try to collect these top tier guns and run other guys around them, while avoiding shitto scorers that you don't want near your playing 17.
This season is unusual in that the top tier guys all seem to be playing Origin, or are injured. Last year was different as we had guys like JDB, Hopgood and Horse and SJ that appeared through the season.
I'm planning to hold Hynes, Angus and adding Fifita this week. Angus the one I would be most likely to trade due to R14.

In regards to Hynes. If out today he will miss 11, 13, 16, 17 (surely), 19, 20. If injury okay may back up for 14 with 3 day turn around v Brisbane. With my Rd 16 nightmare I just can’t hold him.kamikamicameleons wrote:

Good point about R17, as it is a Friday game. If he is out in R14, I may need to sell. Already currently have 5 on the bye that week.

I think holding until the last possible moment, if you can, may be the way to go this year. Personally I wouldn't be selling someone now in anticipation of a rest in 6 rounds time....maybe people have more trades then me?
As a massive dork I like to count the number of trades I have left, take away a bunch of them for injuries (i.e all of them ) and then look at the number of players I have now who i anticipate won't be in my final 17......It's not pretty.

We get 8 extra trades from Rd 20? With his existing injury Hynes potentially plays 3 games between Rd 11 and 20. Angus misses at least 4 and probably gets a rest Rd 17 v Tigers. They both look like sells with Angus to come back in in 20 or 21 then I’ll need to decide between Nicho and Cleary if SJ is doing okay. Angus may survive the cull if other fires continue to spring up like owning 4 Cowboys post Rd 15!mattnz wrote:

The rest in 6 rounds time is just an added bonus in conjunction with all the other guaranteed missed games!Aardvark wrote:I think holding until the last possible moment, if you can, may be the way to go this year. Perspective - If I make 3 trades this week as planned I will have made 21 trades this season in 11 rounds. 16 of those trades were for red dots (> 3 week injuries or straight droppings)

Given Hynes is battling his own injury - who plays 7 for NSW if he and Moses are both unavailable?
Wouldn't be pretty
