LORD of the BYES - Round 18 Results
================================
The last 16 team round of the Lord of the Byes saw some huge scores from many fantasy-relevant players with Tedesco, Barnett, Ming, Mitchell, Wishart, Cotter, Curran, Walsh, Koloa, Garrick Nikora, May & Wighton all going 67 points or more.
It also delivered some very tough scores for owners of CNK, Sharpe, Piakura, Moses, NAS & Mulitalo
If you were on the right side of selections then it was another good round to make some gains.
One player to take full advantage was code delta with a massive 1,134 points with an astute Teddy Captaincy selection.
"The Eliminator", robelgordo, continues to lead the table, but wolfking is still well in the picture and now ably joined by FOG leader Chewie.

LORD of the BYES - Round 18 Results
================================
If you broke the 1000 then you probably made some great gains.
It's probably no suprise to see code delta made huge gains with his 1134 points.
It was another good round for Papadontbleach as she extends her lead on the chasing field.
The relative rank improver leaderboard shows the percentage of teams ahead of each team prior to Round 13, that they have managed to overtake.
robelgordo continues to dominate, with eight teams now having passed 80% of the teams that were ahead of them when this competition began.
All the best for your teams as we head into the final major bye of 2024!
It looks like a big round to make some gains if you have the trades or squad to play 12 or 13.

LORD of the BYES - Round 19 Results
================================
The final big bye round of the Lord of the Byes proved another tough round to navigate, with plenty of teams running on trade fumes.
If you managed to a full 13, there's a good chance you made some good gains.
EasyTiger was lucky enough to run the gauntlet scoring 765 points, with Welsh Mafia and Cantbeatwinners also putting up handy mid 740+ point scores.
It's close at the top and it looks like it may be a two-horse race between two elite NRL Draft players who are equally adept at overall and bye management;
Good luck robelgordo and wolfking!
The round 19 player averages illustrated the tougher round with less than half of LOTB teams being able to field a full squad, and overall player averages being under 50.

LORD of the BYES - Round 19 Results
================================
The major byes are always the best time to make huge ranking gains, and this round proved no differnt.
Holy Moly is no stranger to making big rank gains in the major byes, and this week jumped a huge 5935 places with a very solid 686 points.
It's going to be tough for anyone to catch Papadontbleach for the Rank Improver title and Shady2K looks like they may have second place sewn up too. Third place could be anyones!
The relative rank improver leaderboard shows the percentage of teams ahead of each team prior to Round 13, that they have managed to overtake.
robelgordo continues to hold the top spot, but just like the Lord of the Byes title, it's incredibly close between him and wolfking.
One last tough week with the Dragons, Eels and Sharks on the bye and no doubt a few popular Origin players will be late outs.
Best of luck to everyone as we await the 2024 Lord of the Byes champion

LORD of the BYES 4 - A New King is Crowned
======================================
After 8 long weeks, one stood higher than the rest.
He started Round 13 in 9,148th place, but with astute bye management and careful squad selection, he only played one short on one occasion over 8 rounds; combined with a magnificent player average of 51.0, he would jump 8,814 places into 334th overall by the end of the byes.
This more importantly gave him a 99-point margin over an elite bye manager (who never played a man short over the whole 8 rounds).
I am honoured to present the 2024 Lord of the Byes:
robelgordo
A new king is crowned - Congratulations Rob.
You have proven yet again to be an elite fantasy player of the finest order, and surely likely to be the next inductee into the mysterious Rabbits9.
A true champion is made great by the quality of their competition, so a huge congratulations to wolfking in second place, and to chewie who took the remaining podium spot (and 53rd overall).
Final rounds scores and the full leaderboard should be up later today, and the final Rank Improvement results tomorrow!

Well done Rob, such an awesome bye round!
Kudos to Wolfy, Chewie, and all others who gained bulk ranks over the period, time to rise up and claim NRLFF glory in the back-end of the season.

Thanks for running such an excellent competition
I don’t think I’m worthy to be in the 9 though

I mean Barnett sounds like a genius move, but I needed a MID and an EDG because injuries and some poor team setup (I could’ve set my team so it was MID/EDG plus anyone) . So I got Barnett and Uto because they both covered R16 too. Then Barnett didn’t play R16 and it looked like a poor move. Yet here we are. Sometimes need luck
My other good bye trades were
Wishart (R12 but definitely done for bye planning)
Hughes and Wighton R14
Turbo R19
Cleary R20
But I also got Moses and lost 125k on Hynes in 2 weeks, so it wasn’t all good.
And I bought Campbell R16 and sold R17 when holding would’ve been better

Re: LORD of the BYES 4
That is an impressive turn around from where you were in Round 13 Rob. Interesting to see you had quite a few things go wrong in that period as well yet still smashed us.
