What's your take on Preston vs. Nikora as replacement Edge for Angus?
Already own Shoes & Ming, so I'm concerned about Rd. 19 numbers if I pick up Preston.

Hey mate, I'm pretty high on Preston with the Kikau news, but have to see if he gets the start, and might only be temporary. Ming, Curran and Preston on my radar this week, but the first two seem like mid 40s guys that I'd want to upgrade later.

I crossed Nikora off as the Rd 20 bye looks problematic with Eels, Sharks and Dragons bye and origin players to back up. I already have Hynes, Iro, Atkinson, Hopgood, DBrown and Matto. Matto and Atko probably gone by then, potentially Hynes too, but adding Nikora probably wouldn't be wise for me.

That doesn't look like a problem for you though with just Hynes, Iro and Matto. Nikora's job security is good and price back down close to where I wanted to buy him originally a few weeks ago, so I think he might be safer longterm than Preston.

Is it starting 13 or can I have for example 5 WFB and the 2 scores on my bench will count as I have less than 13 players?

    Starting 13

You can get AEs if you happen to have bench players take the field and a starter doesn't play, but only 13 scorers count and they must cover all starting positions. Eg only 1 HOK, 3 MIDs, 2 EDGs, 2 HLFs, 2 CTRS, 3 WFBs will score for you.

    Only starting 13 mate.

    1 HK
    3 MID
    2 EDG
    2 HLF
    2 CTR
    3 WFB

But you can put players on the bench for looping/cover if someone's out in that position and they will count.

Since I broke Sele last week, Lawrie becomes a real interest. But I'm also interested in Willison with the likes of Te Kura injured and Haas/Carrigan out due to Origin.

Very very alpha version, but take a look and let me know.

    Here's first overall:

Who appears to have some issues this week! (And hasn't touched Nicho/Cleary all season).

    This is a nifty feature!

I already have him, but expect that Hynes and Crichton will be heavily traded to Fifita then.

I feel like it'll be silly not to. Especially if the Maroons win game 1.

Don't think he'll get a look in this series unless Nanai/Su'a have poor performances. He'll be the number 1 scorer across the bye period, and perhaps score the most points from now until the end of the game.

If TLT is kind I can field a full 13 this week with one trade (Angus > King)

    Brailey
    King Shoes Plath
    KPP Carty
    Strange Swalker
    Iro Talagi
    Kiraz Weekes Atkinson

    Kris bench

    Next week plan is:
Kris > Hands (or other cashout)
    Strange > Latrell
    McInnes > Fifita

Trade me in for FantasyFantasy and place your bets for Lord of the Byes.

All going well I should have 12 before trades only missing a MID

Tempted by a Crichton to Teddy trade even though it will push a scorer out of my 13

Don't particularly like any MIDs long term and don't think I have enough trades to mess around with trading one in and out. Maybe a semi cash out like Leota who has about 10 points of value based on 2022 and 2023 but scoring like crap this year

I think I'm going to break the golden rule and grab him this week. I've still got 7 r14 players after trading out Angus plus McInness and Hynes so a very good chance I can't field a team r14 even if I max trade unless I do a couple a week early.

I'm unlikely to field 17 in Rd 14 and I don't think it's essential. There's no good reason to get Fifi this week

Oh great so now I can't even buy Fifita in round 14 because he'll be injured? Thanks a lot wobbler.

My decision between Aitken/Lemu/Plath went the way of Lemu. He lost the points decision on the day (not disappointed in a 42 though), but that extra cash saving looks pretty SMRT now that Fifita has become a must buy for next week onwards.

That’s the “plan” at this stage, the question is for who? I’ve got 550k, so I could look at Shoes at that time. And even with 13 trades after this round, I’d still find it difficult to get Hynes out and back in again. Finally, I’m not too worried that this would give me 5 outs for round 17 because I’ve planned to move on Koula during that week.

Contemplating if it's worth keeping Nicho for the bye period, if he plays all 3 Origin games he'll probably only play in round 15 and 18. Returning to normal duties in round 21

i tried to use my own bye planner last week and it annoyed me how 'unfinished' it was, but i'm so short of time lately to build it out more.

I don't mind the idea of swapping him out for Fifita this week.

Fifita would be the next captain to Nicho so it's not like your losing a solid captain and you'd think he gets rested as you say.
