Eels play last next week, on Monday, so can't really rely on him if named. I'm holding this week and trading Angus, just so I don't get stuck with a trade I can't reverse with Cryan locking in first game. All of next week's targets play 1st and 2nd, so pretty much just trade fodder unless there's anything to the Warriors rumour I started yesterday.

Just going through my bye planner and it looks like it makes sense to trade Matto/Angus to a WFB that plays this week and in 19 since I’m a bit skint at the back.

Will look at who I can get, the gap betweeen the games is quite large so no guarantees whoever I get this week will even play in 19

Yeah it’s not looking good at all.

Just had a look at the 13/19 WFBs and they aren’t very good at all

The only hope I can see is Marzhew somehow reverting back to his 2023 model

Imagine the last of us punt Matto this week and he starts edge 80 mins next week. Probably.

I just need to trade someone to Tedesco this week.

Main candidates are Matto and BS9. If i were to punt BS9 this week then Mikaele takes his spot in my 13, on form they probably both score around the same anyway ~30-35. I doubt Mikaele gets many more mins than usual but 30-35 would be enough for him to score ok, hopefully.

Next week is a drama with Smithies/Strange/Weekes/BS9/Crichton/Lemu + Hynes/Carrigan Suspect BS9/Strange would be first to go  in the MTBs (assuming punt Matto this week, but adding Teddy is another to that list) and then the other options depend on the origin aftermath..

Just typing that out.. maybe i need to should wait on Tedesco re rnd 14 players... if its not Teddy then I'm gambling on getting Handsy I think. Either way I need a WFB/CTR/HLF to fill out 13. I'm not in the "i must have 13 players" camp, but i do have plenty of shittos worthy of trading out. Could get Moses but that gives me both Moses and Drown and .. hmm. Moses could very likely play origin this year too.

If Matto could get an immediate release to the Titans, that would be decent for my fantasy team. They need some forwards. Starting the rumour.

I think I'd actually prefer Lem the most but backs myself into a corner next week where I would have 4 on bye after trading Kris. There will no doubt be at least one injury or origin resting in my team.

That leaves the Bulldogs Curran, Ming, Preston. All of which have minutes questions for me, just too many options that Ciraldo likes to use in that pack.

Ming has been scoring well lately but sometimes only plays high 40mins, and had a couple sub 40 scores earlier in the season due to that. $675k is a lot for a guy that might have some 45min games.

If I knew Ciraldo would leave Preston to start at 2nd row and play 70+mins from here he is the easy pick but who tf knows on that. Kikau listed to only miss 2 more games and then we may see Preston back to bench for 50mins.

Curran has been punching out scores on the whole but only 40mins last week, a couple of other low 40min games, one saved with a try. Least likely to be a potential keeper of them all if in a bind. DPP handy though.

Im a Curran owner and im probably looking to trade him out in rd 15 to someone who plays both 16 and 19. Just doesn't get enough mins to be a keeper

Why is Preston being talked up more than Lucas for 60k more. Newcastle bye schedule really suits my team needs. If danger of him covering at Centre for back injuries is reason I better sell DFifi

probably because preston has a history of being a 50 ish scorer on edge and it is assumed he would stay there, while newcastle have 3 good edge players that could be swapped around at any time.

I'd hold Fifita and buy Lucas if it suits your team needs better

In Ciraldo's mind, Bulldogs have 3 good edges as well, with Preston 3rd in line.

Last 4 games Preston has been benched behind Kikau and Salmon (Kikau and Curran the week Salmon missed)

Whose to say he won't go back to the bench when Kikau is fit?

Boooo. Take some risks. We're not playing for sheep stations, but if we were, Preston would be your man there too.

Preston (despite his dodgy haircut) is from Sydney's leafy north shore. Don't know if he'd be much use on a sheep station.

I’ve taken a risk lately on Matterson. It seems we here have the power to ruin someone’s footballing career just by making a trade.

If we had all just left him alone he’d be playing 80, averaging 60+, and the Eels would be winning games.
