Last year in the first couple byes with 13 players

    Round 13 = 856
    Round 16 = 924

Gives you an idea what can be done

Only 4 of the 20 highest scoring players (total points) in the game are available this week.

And none of them are in the top 10. I’m guessing we’re gonna have some stinker scores

Fair enough. I already have Fifi so don't have to worry can just get 1-2 players this round for 12-13. Hynes and Angus my clearest sells

Good as should mean rank gains as I've seen several teams above with terrible bye planning

my opinion on origin players backing up....this season the ladder is pretty congested at the top so if the players are fit they will play. last year penrith had a healthy lead so they could rest players. the sides not in the top 8 will be pushing to get there so they will play their origin players.
it's also been proven medically that the players deal with a quick turnaround from origin to nrl (1-3 days) better the sooner the nrl game is it's when their nrl game is 4-5 days after origin their bodies start to seize up a bit & the bumps & bruises appear. also these guys are super fit playing 2 games in a week is no big deal. also getting paid 30k per origin game would put you in a good mood.

Anyone else on captain Sam Walker?

Probably between him or Dylan Brown for my team.

Pretty tempted, but it's definitely a rocks or diamonds play with him.

Hmm too cheap to be considered risky in my book, same with Hands. Should at least get what you pay for and potential for high upside.

Preston was one of my favourites to watch last year, so I like taking the gamble that he'll cement his spot again. Bloke's a footy player.

I'll ride with Preston too. Ming is safer but gut feel and all of that.

there is a direct correlation with amount of times you mention POD vs how bad your rank is.

Is Piakura to Tuilagi a no-brainer to field 13?

Feel like I'm overthinking it looking at Preston, Sorenson, Lem etc.

    Can be done, but...

    The difference is last year you'd hit 900+ 8/12 rounds, including 4+ 1000, and 1+ 1100

    This year: 3+ 900, 0 1000+

This season would there be a single person who has gone 900+ for 8 rounds???

i own him but i'm on tedesco (c) & if he doesn't get attacking stats he usually scores 30's but playing the cowboys with 6 out for origin i feel he could have a diamonds score but there is risk attached because hey it doesn't always go to plan. i also own brown he's probably more consistent but he probably won't go boom with moses back dominating however brown still scores well but imo he'll score in the 45-60 points range he's playing the sharks who have a strong side with only hynes & mcinnes in origin.
i would captain walker over brown more potential to go large.

Yeah I was making up numbers in my head to get to 580... if I used actual averages its 605. Includes Hands being way low, and I thought of subbing in Lussick's average instead, but I also have guys like Weekes and Amrstrong at small sample averages of 50+ which I can't see happening to offset

Recency Bias Projection (everyones last score) lands me at 718

No wonder everyone likes recency bias so much.

Getting Manu and DFifi in Rd 5 because they were low owned probably my best trades of the season. Sold Tuaupiki and Hosking and used the Cleary money from the week before
