That's what I was thinking. CHT took last year off league to travel Europe

Yea and then with some regular starts over there he might even attract some attention to return to the NRL, once he's built up some money and experience.

    Seems like a win win

Given the timing, it seems he has been told he is the 3rd string fullback at the club, at the same time as he has been receiving good offers elsewhere to be their star fullback.

Just seems odd if true, that a third string is in the headlines about going to super league, like we dont see every 3rd or 2nd string guy in the headlines. I know he got a shot and has been playing well etc  anyway

Yeh that's great from a distance, probably goes on more than I'm recalling each year.

think he's just a bit of a 'hot topic' in nrl news ubble since he scored a few tries in his first few games.

will be a forgotten name in a months time (not knocking him personally)

Can we come up with a team of forgotten names?

Someone mentioned Hardakar earlier. I’ve got Feeney and the one and only Scott Moore.

I'm hearing that he has requested a release from the club. All his family and his manager are pissed off that they have made an 18 year old play through a broken hand the last few weeks. Was apparently telling team mates that he can't wait to be out of the club.

Obviously it's all hearsay, but if he can't wait to be out of the club, then he's going to have to learn some patience because he's got 2.5 more years before he's going anywhere.

I guess he just needs to figure out if he wants those years to be in first grade, or in NSW cup

I think I'm not articulating my point well. (Maybe Booze take over here) Might be missing the egg sandwiches from the 7/11's.

He might not be a better player for it. I thought he should crack 1st grade here and then go overseas.

I guess he is NSW Cup winger who was 4th or 5th in line at age 23(?), has fallen into a starting FB gig through injuries, got some positive attention from it but longer-term has limited prospects to break through as regular NRL player. So use the hype right now to get a steady UK superleague gig. Might end up with a Jai Field-type career.

Rhys Martin is probably the captain of this team

    Daine Laurie (the original one)
    Brad Abbey
    John Palavi

He'll get his release eventually but it's pretty outrageous (and I usually side with players on this stuff).

Firstly, no club is going to have an 18yo play through an injury that can't be managed or will get significantly worse/cause longer-term damage. Half the comp is likely playing through niggles. So that's just BS to get a release. Loved the manager having twitter burner accounts.

Secondly, his manager locked him up in a 3 year deal probably expecting him to be playing U20s then NSW Cup for most of it. Which he would be at most clubs. So agitating for the release is the manager trying to correct their own fuck up? The whole thing just seems scummy.

ha was about to mention kerrod.

classic example of a player (and there have been a fair few) where you should ignore late season surge in stats where they're in a shit team playing other shit teams in high scoring encounters.

I don't think a high skill and speed 18 year old should be paying a heavy tracking frontline week-in and out. He wants a fifteen year career, then he needs to be managed. Back to ressies whilst he finishes growing

bit of a classic "i'm hearing" from anons who all read each others BS. agitating tactic from the manager by the sounds.

i'm hearing Galvin isn't even injured.
