Someone mentioned before Hopgood may miss 5/6 games coming up, wish there was some more clarity on his back. If he has been named surely its not that bad.

2010 was the first year I played fantasy RL - joined in a cash Nearly Sport comp with workmates. They'd started in 2008 I think, I was replacing someone who quit. And they absolutely stitched me up by not fully explaining the blind auction format.

So my team sucked, and finally in R9 I looked like I was going to fluke a win... was up I think 10 points and my opponent just had Roosters bench hooker Nick Kouparitsas to play in Monday Night Football.

Just before kickoff he was moved to lock, the only time he ever played there. And scored a try, got a workhorse try, and I think got the votes for best player. 12 pts to a complete shitto to lose by 2. Don't think he got that many points over the rest of season

Think I won 2 games. Have got a little better.

We originally had TLT because teams needed to be named by Tuesday afternoon in order to make print deadlines for Big League magazine
Now that Big League is defunct I guess its just there to generate betting/fantasy content.

If I was an NRL coach I certainly wouldn't want to be forced into whatever team I named 5 days before the game. And we've had reports that most coaches don't give a shit about TLT anyway.


When I managed my social soccer team we'd name a lineup on Friday night and that would always change by Saturday afternoon, cant think of the chaos that would ensue if we had to name a team on a Tuesday (although admittedly, first grade NRL teams probably don't have to deal with players oversleeping, driving to the wrong ground or forgetting their kit and having to drive back and get it)
