The good things is that I already own 3 big guns in Haas, Hynes, and Fifita and will have enough cash in the bank to get Cleary in 1 trade.
So I don't have to make a lot of "must-have" trades post round 20.
Mitchell and Angus would be nice to have in the team, but I'm not sure if I can squeeze both into the team.
Might just save most of the 8 trades for injuries

Yeah you should be fine. I have 4 trades after using one this week (KPP to Teddy), and have a few big guns myself (Fifita and Nicho as wel, but Carrigan instead of Haas).

I'm probably not getting Angus back either, as Olakau'atu will be ripe for the picking in round 20 (basically as long as you own at least two of Fifita, Angus, E Katoa and Ola, you're good at EDG).

With no Thursday night game this week I thought it would be nice to give you all something to do

State Of Origin Fantasy game 2 is Open for team submission:

    Nice work Chewie.
I'm in a similar boat - holding my last 2 trades for any (inevitable) season ending injuries to guns, waiting for 20 to make another move.
My 'guns' parade includes: Haas, Fifita, Yeo, Trell (??) & Ted. (With Manu & Barnett as DPP back-up)
So 'I'll need to find ways and means to get Hynes & Cleary once they're back.
Other than that I'd like to get Angus back too (but he'll have to wait until the uber-guns are purchased).
I've run with JMK at Hooker all year, my final luxury trade would be to try to pick up Grant for the run home.

It's not desperate, but it is ugly.

I've got the same problem with what to do with Kelma. Need an EDG for this week but given I have Fifita, Aitken and Lucas I'm happy to nuff out for the cash.

I looked at Fainu after your post but actually landed on Sitili given he will likely cover post origin injury/rests and otherwise he'll not be an AE risk if not selected. At $284K he's so cheap for a former elite player.

Need 2 x sub 300ks to fund upgrades to Fifita & Cleary in coming weeks. Don't necessarily have to play this week.

    So far have in mind

    Gray
    Laitu mid

Angus with the rd23 bye isn't a must, assuming he gets a rest in round 20. Would be nice to have him for 24-27

I think I'd rather skip Cleary altogether than having 2 of those in my team.

Same here - would rather visit the discount gun shop for a 2nd gun half and gun EDG (Ola and DCE are top of the list)

sipley probably worth a crack if you had 8+ trades.

as a last trade i'd take wighton every day in a season where players are dropping like flies. you said it yourself yesterday, he's going to play every week and probably average 35-40 without much trouble.

anyway matt can do what he wants, its entertaining none the less. sipley will score well this week, for sure.
Are you saying Hughes/Salmon to Sipley is a slam dunk?

Base price nuffie that will score you points in a bye round then not be an AE nightmare for the run home sounds like gold. 25 man squad makes a dead spot much easier to handle

Might just save most of the 8 trades for injuries

I'm in a similar position, while down to 1 trade I have lots of the top players in their position already:
    Yeo
    Haas
Watson (averaging 69 when starting at lock or HOK this season, should waltz back into one of those roles post-origin)
    Fifita
    Aitken
    Latrell

Cleary and Hynes will be cheap at the right time, and guys like Fuller and Weekes will be useful high value cashouts to get them in when unavailable post-origin, along with an injured player. Should leave me with 5 trades for injuries for the run home and the only concerning player in the team is Koula, who will be emergency cover if required.

Should have a final team something like:
    Blayke
    Yeo Haas Watson
    Fifita Sorenson
    Hynes Cleary
    Aitken Iro
    Latrell Kiraz CNK

    Uto Plath Brown Egan
    Fainu Wighton Koula Cow

I understand they are different games, I play them all. My point was ive only heard 2 people initally mention Porter, until 50 other posters mentioned him recently on here.

After 2 seasons of saying never again after selling and buying back, I'm glad this season I haven't gone near him

As long as you're willing to accept 25 points in 55 minutes and the odd dumb suspension, go right ahead
