Would I be insane to look at Alex Johnston?

    Thought process being:

    - Dropped 122k
    - Plays 16 & 19, only one bye left (R17)
    - Currently priced at 26 (0.5 tries per game), the last 3 years that has been 35 (.9 tries per game), 41 (1.2 tries per game), 41 (1.4 tries per game).

Hopefully some reversion to the mean in terms of try scoring? It's slim pickings under 400k.

Only issue with that is that he really needs Trell there to feed him attacking ball, and Trell is obviously not there for 16 or 19.

Do we have any insight into croker’s neck injury? Considering simpkin as a temporarily playable cash out

Any warriors fans have any insight into tohu and whether he will get his usual role back anytime soon? Or still effected by his hand?

Also keen as for the under 19s origin tonight. A few of my knights boys in origin. Cody Hopwood on the bench is a year young and IMO a certainty to play NRL. Great kid, as are Jermaine and Connor

Really hope Kiks lines up this week against the Chooks, not for Fantasy, but Teddy must be having nightmares if he does

Thought I saw somewhere Croker back in training. I must be in minority having 5 on bye Rd 17 the number of posts talking about getting Titans Rabbits Manly this week. He can wait 2 weeks for me because of that and will know more if Croker back

Have gone full circle on the Kelma trade out.

Given I am looking for a player that will play at least 2 of rounds 16, 17, 19, tempted to wait a week and trade in Sharpe the following week.

Gives me $116k cash and if he scores an average of low to mid 40s for 3 weeks, the price rises will be enough that even if Ponga returns in R20, I should be able to trade Weekes, Fuller and Sharpe to Cleary, Hynes and a cheap cow. Sharpe is playing well enough that he may get a chance on the wing to finish off his price increases when Ponga returns.

I wouldn't normally be looking at a short term cashie, but the price rises, along with playing the right rounds for me, make him look like a decent option. Gives the same level of bye coverage as Wighton does.

Yeah, you're right. Croker still listed as indefinite, but have seen articles saying he is back with non-contact training this week, with a view towards resuming the contact work next week.

A favourite highlight of mine I was jumping up and down at the game!

This was a sad day for me yesterday. It was inevitable but I was hoping we could keep Cook next year. He’s still a good player and a good hooker at this level albeit past his prime. He will leave a hole if we don’t have plans who we are replacing him with. I’m sure Wayne has a plan.

Damien has grown so much at our club and given many memorable highlights and got me on my feet so much at games or at home jumping up and down! Who can forget the amount of times he has scored some great running tries and just turned the pace on! The talk of him not playing well in any finals games is BS too he’s played very well against Knights, Parra and Dragons in finals week 1 and 2 and was very good against Manly in the prelim in 2021. He’s played so well in big regular season games too. He’s represented Australia and NSW the highest levels of the game. He has done our club proud and his family proud never been in trouble off the field and I will miss him. Hopefully he can come back in a role with our club after he retires. Now to help us finish off the season strong!

I will be very emotional in round 27 will be Tom and Damien last games as Rabbitohs kind of an end of an era.

I feel sorry for the guy who is going to be a Liddle upset. Deserves a hooker spot in NRL. Will be interesting to see if he goes somewhere else.

Hearing rumblings that Brandon could be linked with a move to Souths.

Not an insane option as a cash out. The bunnies seemed to have turned the corner and if they can string a few competitive games together AJ could be a good EMG option.
Latrell being away doesn't help for the short term, but I don't mind the pick

Certainly picking up momentum since we started the rumour on here.

    A bit of Thursday trivia
The Del Bosque meme originated from the Spain vs the Netherlands soccer game at the 2014 World Cup.
Spain had beaten the Dutch in the 2010 world cup final, and the Dutch were out for revenge. They ended up beating Spain 5-1, with Robin Van Persie scoring his memorable diving header
Del Bosque's reaction was recorded after the Dutch scored their 3rd goal in the 64th minute.

Too many distractions in Sydney for Cheese, far better out of the spot light.

Dolphins wanted him and he knocked them back.
