I actually rate Naden worse
They both should be gone when Olam & Staines return you'd think ?

697 for me with 15 players, down week but didn't lose as many ranks as I expected to, so I'll take it.

Lockout can’t be lifted soon enough. Moving some of this weeks outs into position will be quite an enjoyable task

Makes fielding a full team a challenge at the best of times even running 21 playable green dots and no origin players.
This year has felt like a royal rumble haha
I have had a rough trot this year like many on here.
My usual poor fantasy choices have hurt twice as much but I wouldn't change it.
I think it has brought back a diversity in strategies and choices which has made the game better in my opinion.
Next year there may not be as many injuries to popular players and the game will be a little easier.
So we just need to pull on our big boy (or insert appropriate wording for your individual and no less relevant situation/stage in life/attitude etc.) pants and face another day.
For in the end this too shall pass.

Lifting lockout will be sad.
Right now I can straight trade JMK to Cook. But once price changes kick in this is unlikely to be the case

Has been red dot management all season here, missing many of the high ownership players as a result. Not particularly bothered by it.

I think the key this year is patience. People dropping players after one or two bad scores and then they go on runs pretty quickly. Take the bad with the good, roll with the punches and most importantly bow down to the Mod God who's back up top of the table.

I’ve preliminary gone up 27 ranks with my slob squad of 16. I guess that counts for something? Obviously will be waiting upon JMK news to see what route I go with him, but it might be something silly like straight to Pongdong if he is indeed back round 19. If not, we’ll see what pans out.

- Big Boy Pants off TLDR:
I wasn't going to reply but I will at least clear the mind on the state of this game and general vibe I am seeing
Not going to reply or continue with this conversation again so will write this down one time, so please don't continue with this.
This is simply my thoughts and don't want this to drag out
I don't believe adding extra reserves makes things easier as it spreads the cash even further and probably varies the teams even more depending on who you choose
It simply allows you to mitigate or carry more cover (if you choose to) for the rotating byes and short term injuries.
As it stands you are probably only playing with a squad of 19 most weeks on average with the byes, then throw in complusory HIA stand downs, Origin restings and injuries and its a tight rope you walk
Max trade to field 17 or play down a couple and hope they return/no more injuries
I am currently ranked 1640 but still good enough to be 24th in the FOG so perhaps its just a forum thing or as you say 'diversity in strategies' means we have been overtaken by the masses.
This comment is more coming from observations over the past month both lurking on this forum and elsewhere who play this game and noticing trends
The general feel in here along with acitivity feels like it has switched off even earlier than the usual activity drop off.
People who I know who play this have switched off or switched focus to H2H or supercoach (where the masses are)
More trades was never the answer, though being able to make more trades in a week a few times to fix things could potentially help
Not the first person to mention this and it has been discussed last year too before this new bye system came into effect
End of the day most won't read this or care with no point worrying about it as its completely out of our control
Its just a free game end of the day but doesn't mean it has potential to be better/bigger
More user friendly to attract the casual player is the answer, the good players will still be good regardless of the game but need to keep people interested for a full season
Like most things the NRL has, it almost mirrors the same trends in the real game too
There are multiple ways to still have fun but its the community that makes it fun and the more invested people are the better
TLDR: Big boys dont wear pants at meetups (Not a single mention of one so perhaps this sums it all up here)

783 for the week from 16 players
Holding rank at the moment outside the 'top 1000' but will see what flavour shapes I get in the mystery box next week

Rank took a hit but oh well time to attack the last big bye

They are ramping at the Nrl Casualty Ward, a few returning this week.

Weekes to Pryce

Weekes out looked good til the 26 point play. But going down to Pryce meant I could afford Yeo. I was at work on break when Pryce scored his try I was going bonkas and STAMPING MY FEET!
No wonder you kept it a secret. I wouldn't want anyone to know I was making such rubbish trades
