    Brown to Cleary (c)
    Api to Starling

1k difference between the setups is crazy.

Gray, Marzhew, Shoes loop in place, let’s go

Be playing with 16 this week at best, hopefully Cotter suits up but not optimistic. Should be good things after this week though right

Been thinking about what I'm playing for, and arrived back at the adage of playing to win over playing to not lose. Seeing as I've been within the top 500 for a number of weeks with a preseason goal of achieving a top 1000 placement, I'll take that as achieving my goal. On top of this the team that has come out on top is my WAGS team where the modus operandi was to take risks. I should really go all in on this strat. What this leads me to is getting in Grant as my HOK (with Hands & Api out).

At this moment my trades are looking like: Api/Uto/Trell/Aitken -> Haas/Murray/Grant/Watson.

Watson is the only one that's up in the air right now - could do Ekat/JHughes/DCE/A Crichton instead. Would leave me with 4 trades, and would look to downgrade someone to Savage, and someone up to Cleary next week. Would leave me balls to the wall and could backfire if there are injuries, but down side is that I don't have the bragging rights of a decent finish, upside of making some pretty good ground by the end of the season.

Some players come with more of a risk.
JC, Turbo, Cleary are in that category

It may mean giving up some potential value, but hopefully miss lots of injuries and save lots of trades through the season. Could mean giving up both Hynes and Cleary even if they are cheap.

Suggested this path twice this year, no takers. I think we all get way to stuck in must haves and herd approach.

Next year I'm only picking players that don't get injured, don't get knocked out, play 80 minutes, kick goals and present at least a triple pronged hybrid role.

Other than Cleary (who has the excuse of being the best player in the game in recent years) is there anyone with injury problems that lots of people want to trade in?

Plenty of people avoided Hynes on his return (admittedly as much for cash reasons as for injury history)

There don't appear to be masses of people rushing Turbo, Papy, Ponga into their team

In any case, its not like its a foolproof strategy - would there have been any reason to avoid Euan Aitken or Max King following the "no injuries" rule?

Must admit I am still tempted by Jayden Campbell. Original plan was Scott Drinkwater, but for just $60k more JC is scoring pretty well, just seems to always be on the verge of missing out.

Tanah Boyd it is (you may need to add a "don't get dropped" rule)

@Milchcow Should have specified, I only meant Cleary and Hynes, with the attitude 'what have you done for me lately' aiding the crazy year and position most of us were already in.
