    Fair enough

I am still tempted by Cleary this week though

Suggested this path twice this year, no takers. I think we all get way to stuck in must haves and herd approach.

There are other ways to find value, than players coming off injury being the reason they are cheap. Still going to be plenty of value buys.

I will try to make change of role more of a focus and less picking up players that get injured, especially if it is a recurring issue. HIA in particular seems to be a crap shoot, with unpredictable return dates, guys like Twal and Matto on my never again list. Recurring calf and hamstring issues is another that seems to strike often - Turbo, Cleary, Hynes all significant risks.

Isn’t it everyone’s main strategy really?

You get the guys who might end up being guns that are currently undervalued

Just how you manage that strategy that sets everyone apart

Finding the 21 NRL players that have never had an injury and never will have an injury should be a piece of piss

On injuries, obviously there was a risk with Cleary about hammies and picking him up immediately came with risk. Backfired. This time he might score 80 first up. But it’s a known risk you take eyes wide open. Wouldn’t take it with a player with recurrent hammy problems that averages 45 rather than 65 in most circumstances.

The vast majority of injuries are not a predictor of future injury proneness. Hynes most recent has nothing to do with his calf niggle, and the next injury will likely have nothing to do with this one

Blanket statements like “I’m going to avoid players with injuries history” are counterproductive IMO

We genuinely need a meetup that's based on h2h combat fighting each other. Their needs to be some stress relieved.

    Wrong sort of relief mate.

The tension between posters here is way more sexual.

Aubo & Jarod Croker never played origin,  Norman & Miford did.

Peak Norman and Milf way better players than Aubs and Croker. Just didn’t have the consistency and longevity. having consistency and longevity means you’re remembered more fondly but doesn’t make you a rep player

I did actually honestly start typing something of this nature, but I refrained. In saying that, lubes for the introverts only.

Left field thought here. Does anyone suspect that Twal might get swticheroo'd into LOCK at the expense of Pole for the remainder of the season?

If so, he could be a value pick
