Yeah, I started to go down the rabbit hole (excuse the pun) replying to WL re how many trades left.

I'm going to play the long game on this and aim for 5 left (currently 10) for the last 3 Rounds.  Counter productive if injuries dry up and restings don't happen, as sacrificing points now, but my best chance of making more ranks will be the last few Rounds.

Good plan. I have 5 left now (used 3 this round to sell Aitken, Trell and SHughes to Haas, Garrick and Randall), and will likely use 2 more next week (Weekes + Hands to a cashout and Cleary if I can do that), with the plan being to carry 3 trades for injuries.

Matto to cleary seems to make a lot of sense, perhaps because lack of other options this week ?

Id get ponga but the bye next week is a bit annoying

630k bank though, matto to ponga this week and marzhew to cleary next could be a thing

Suppose haas could go large too, but owning both carrigan and haas is a bit of an issue when they have their bye

So as it stands, 5 trades left?  Personally would take the 17 green dots and see what happens for the rest of the Round.  Minus last nights game, still pretty much 8 Rounds left and some potential restings for Fantasy to shaft us this year.

    3 trades will leave 8.

Way this season is going not expecting the carnage to stop.

6 trades right now, but yeah, also in 'do not care' mode.

Gut feel ponga 75+ today, might just pull that trigger

It does seem like the popular strategy is get the best team together asap and hope things settle down.  It is also the smarter strategy instead of worrying about what might happen.  I just can't do it though, I've always been a trade saver and probably explains why I've never been in the hunt at year's end.  And also why I have finished probably 3 or 4 Seasons with at least 1 trade left  Embarassed

I've got enough in the bank and enough mid priced cows to milk that I could have a pretty damned strong team this time next week.  But then would only have 3 or 4 trades left and my brain just won't allow me to put myself in that position.

That may be compensated by missing next week and then scoring a disappointing 32 points against the Panthers the week after

With the bye next week , I think Ponga can wait.

Price wise he'll likely drop, but worst case won't go up massively , and a lot can happen in 2 weeks that can change what the best move is

I know it's impossible to predict restings, but with the way the ladder is might be less chance this year? As a potential positive to an otherwise horrid season.

My trades this week are Api/Aitken/Penis/Ola -> Haas/Grant/Tago/Watson.

Leaves 4 trades and will likely make 1 or 2 next week to get Cleary. Possibly for Trell if he is out for the season.

The next two ins would probably be my last two trades and use rest for injuries..

Those three trade in's would be my ideal ones as well but I'm really lacking WFBs so need to go Drinkwater instead of Curran.

Not thrilled by Drinkwater but he'll do. I have the same feeling re a big game from Ponga but another knight definitely a no go for me bye wise

Koro + Faalogo to Randall + Pap worth it to go down to 4 trades?

Faalogo is so awkward I've been trying to get rid of him for 4 weeks now and he keeps hanging on. Do I just do Koro to Randall and keep him another week to field 17?

Too much risk Host takes Chee Kam's spot and Burbo doesn't have Tago's upside and has a higher injury risk. I'm taking a punt on an uptick for Tago with Cleary back. Worst case he sits in reserves.
