Yes of course, the womens team is copping it because they are women. Men are guilty of the same issues, it's not gender, its' using politics in sport. Live by that sword die by that sword.
Are the rabbitohs copping crap because they have aboriginal men on their team? Or is it because of things like kicking out Arey and Latrell Mitchell being bigger than the game.
Walsh underperforms, now it's kevie and the Broncos problem - suddenly the whole structure is falling down. Does Walsh have off field issues? Does he care about the team? Is he spending too much time partying? I can point to countless examples. Don't think the women's soccer team is special, they aren't. Just the latest from a list of casualties.
You can make claims that some men at the margin are putting the boot because of spite, but I'm not talking about the margin. As you rightly pointed out, the media and politicians made this all mainstream.

Agree on the whole about learning to cop the criticism that comes with a higher profile but a lot of the 'too big for their boots' commentary is coming from people who've jumped in to have a crack without actually engaging with the sport in the first place and are only engaging with the result because it suits their narrative. Read the comments under any female sporting report and it's pretty obvious where a lot of the off kilter comments come from.
Rugby League criticism generally comes from people who actually take an interest in Rugby League I'm not sure the same can be said here.

Good for Sharp and Brailey owners by the looks.
