Whenever I hear "Player X* is going to score 1 billion points against the Tigers/Titans/Eels/Bunnies/Storm" I get the heebie jeebies. It comes off occasionally but more often than not it slips on a banana skin and then stands on a rake.

I almost did Fainu to DCE as my second last trade but I saw a stat that Manly hadn't won at Leichardt since 2005 or something and I thought the conservative approach might not cause too much damage. Still I was surprised Turbo scored so well and DCE didn't. Might still do Fainu to Turbo next week.

DCE will bounce back for the last two weeks lads. Just sucks if you captained him.

Yeah, re: Schmidt. I'm choosing to bury my head in the sand at this point. The implications are pretty frightening and the people holding the keys are not really the people you want holding anything

I do think DCE is so obviously a good process, bad outcome thing you can't worry. Even the captain shout is very defendable. Shit happens. Next week DCE scores 90 and Turbo 27 and it's all square.

Selling Fainu was pretty luxurious though. 'Ohh look at me using one of my precious last trades on a green dot for extra points because I hold the fantasy gods in contempt and piss on their ancestors graves'. Basically what that move was saying, in a nutshell.

Holding Samuela was all about the eyetest for me. I eyed up my trades and red dots and thought.. fuck.

After a horrible performance last week, I was hoping Benji addressed the missed tackle issue, seems legit. I think the trading of Faniu would be a culmination of the 16 the week before, a run of below par scores (60 with 2 tries the anomaly), and the bye next week. As I mentioned, I toyed with it, but will probably sit on him and take his 27 points in the last round. I don't even have any Storm players and was still anxious in the thought of trading him, but I'm a coward.

I thank the great Cow for Samuela's fine performance last night. He obviously lurks here.

I avoided that particular bad decision by making a questionable decision to trade him to Curran in round 21 which of course was an entirely sensible trade in (admittedly it was part of a clear out as part of the 'get Cleary in' week). I had some vague idea that I didn't want more than one Tiger given the late bye so let's say that was my main reason.

Anyway, this week Josh Curran will be turning into Cameron Murray. Curran has had the decency to retrospectively make my trade respectable by becoming a red dot.

The DCE thing is decent process, bad outcome although I had some 'not sure this is the play' vibes prior so switched to someone else (see earlier post on 'good fixtures')

had the same feeling, and was going to switch to burton, but then i figured i can't keep being this wrong about trade ins Laughing so stuck with DCE lol. tbh i went out and forgot about it. if i was home. there is an equal chance i would have both captained dce or went with burton instead.

    burton for 80

Unless the battle for 8th between Dragons and Raiders eventuates (needs Raiders to be better), it's probably the R27 match that has the highest stakes
